My waitress prolly had to go to the store for my Rum...

If not... her tip just dropped from 1 dollar to fifty cents :P
Must be nice to have a waitress who'll run to the 24hr liquor store for Rum whenever you run out ARC. I had a 'waitress' like that years ago when I was still single... the difference is, I had to pay her by the hour. :laughing7:

Just got caught up on the news from the devastating floods that have occurred in BC.
They've havinng one real $hitting year for weather.
From the fire evacuations to this flood evacuation it has strained many folks.
Basically the shipping routes of goods has been severely damaged .3 major highways, and both railways have been closed.
The Pineapple Express was the cause.

Jim,
I looked at some of the pictures of the flooding and you can clearly see the lower parts of the hills have been clearcut of lumber. Nothing to slow down the flow of water. They probably should selectively cut the larger trees and replant asap. Probably less profitable that way so we end up with a mess on our hands.

It seems that Montreal is in a constant state of road repair/construction.
Aislin captures it perfectly in today's cartoon.

It's been a decade since the last time I fly out there.
The amount of clear cutting of timber was a real eye opener.
The hills and mountains that looked like a bad patchwork quilt.
The 200-300mm of rain on to of a soggy landscape never helps.
The warm rain melted many snowcapped which enhanced the amounts of water.
Then again the simplest thing is that folks that drained Sumas Lake a hundred years ago.
Now called the Sumas prairie.
OK let's live in the lake bed, good idea right?
