Love it.
What happened to the other? Does the parent im guessing get rid of the non hatch one?
So far it's still in there, you just can't see it under the three chicks. I don't think she can remove it -- too big to grasp in her beak.

The weather im guessing with the mangoes. We stopped buying bananas two weeks ago. They mostly come from Queensland here. Outside look almost ripe, little bit of green, even those that are yellow, but inside going rotten. From the crazy rain and flooding they've had up there.
I understand trying to support them the farmers but Im not paying $8 a kilo for rotten food.
Yes, it was a warm breeze off the ocean in January that coated the blooms with salt. We're just a couple of blocks off the beach and sometimes we get a salty fog. Very rare though in January. We have a few that may make it, our neighbor's tree has none.

A friend of mine that has the class 4 license owns at least one of those beasts!! :headbang:
It costs him a lot of money...per year for the licenses... and he said Big Brother knows of course.

In general, owning a .50 BMG (Browning Machine Gun) caliber firearm that is also full-automatic (a machine gun) is legal in the US under specific conditions, primarily governed by the National Firearms Act (NFA). However, possessing such a firearm is tightly regulated and requires specific licenses and permits.

Individuals seeking to own machine guns, including .50 BMG rifles, need to obtain a Federal Firearms License (FFL). They also need to pay a $200 tax stamp for each machine gun to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF)

I would think it would cost a bit too just 1 session cutting loose with it on stuff.
Id love to fire one.
I applied for license renewal nearly 2 mths ago, shouldn't be an issue, but normally id have it after week 2 of applying. Our Police force lost a lot of members due to the covid vax mandates and they never returned so they are badly undermanned, including obviously the licensing division. Incense ran out a month ago but they send an email each week to show if im ever asked for the actual license to allow me to still shoot. More undermanned than I thought.

Do you need a license down under....see what I did there.... for rifles and shotguns too?

Lady was closing up the garage sale, I asked if she had any fishing gear I find a lot of vintage lures at garage sales. She says... Oh I forgot to put these out... 20 bucks a piece? SOLD!!!! My Salmon/Steelhead poles are great but these are top notch!!!! We will see if they compare to my older poles.

The licensing is weird. You can get a full category like mine which covers all rifle and shotgun types other than autos. Handguns are a separate category and you can only use them at clubs so why bother.
But there is a rimfire category which is stupid because that comes under the full one. Why go through the same hassle to get one, attend classes and tests, just to get one for a .22 when you could have the full for no extra hassle taking the exact same test!
You need a special permit for cross bows too. Only thing there's no need for one yet is a normal bow n arrow.

A man can never have too much fishing gear 😀
Though I'll admit I do cull my gear down every say 10 yrs or so giving away the ones I find myself not using.
I have an old Mitchel made in France that was my fathers favorite trout reel. The older inside spool before skirted spools became popular. It has a quick spool release, press button. Early 70s I think. You know its drag is still as smooth as silk. He used to take me fishing every chance we got.
Thing with the inside spool as you know was a pain when the line went under it and wrapped around the spindle. I recall numbers of times striking a trout then going to wind, just to see the line was under and not going anywhere. Panic stations! 😂

She had a long life, and was probably loved to bits.

They have a way to be the best friend that we can count on for every type of feelings we have.
Sincerely sorry to hear of her passing 😞.
