Season "3" of Curse of Oak Island

i think season 4 will be in depth shows of the Fred Nolan info
as Fred prob has a lot of unpublished info, we can only hope

I keep thinking that a cross-over show with Hunting Hitler would be good. I mean, Oak Island might not be all that far out of the way if going from Spain to Argentina. It could happen.

I think Nolan was just playing a little joke by having them drill where they did, if he hit a hollow spot there years ago at only 15 feet, there is no way he would have left it undug.

We didn't see Nolan and Dan Blankenship together, I'd have to say no buried hatchets yet.

I noticed Dan didn't show up also :laughing7: Sour Grapes maybe
because someone else was in the Limelight ?

I'm a big fan of the show and I'm hoping they eventually find something. I haven't been watching much because I've been busy so I don't know if they managed to find anything or not. The last time I got to watch was the episode where they brought in the heavy equipment.

I was thinking the same thing .

An entire hour of nothing. I think I'm done with watching the show. I'll just wait until they recover a huge treasure hoard. Yea, that'll be a cold day in...

I must say, that the group being able to meet the author of the Readers Digest article was a cool moment.

It would be like me being able to meet Zora Arkus Duntov, or Ronald Reagan.

I mean, obviously the time spent with the author did zip towards finding the treasure, but I did enjoy watching that part of the show.

I remember watching the trailer for this show before the first season aired, instantly new hollywood was just in it for the publicity money and what not. I still watched a grand total of 3 episodes so its not like i didn't give it a shot hahaha. But seriously i think the hole is just a giant latrine :)

I absolutely love this show though I don't really have an opinion on if there is treasure buried or not. That said, either this show is edited poorly or they all have a massive case of ADD.

I'm sure it has been said many of times by fellow posters, but, FINISH. ONE. PROJECT. BEFORE. STARTING. ANOTHER!

The swamp is the area I am most curious about. I think they've shown them working that area two or three times throughout the series, and then the next episode, they're on the other side of the island working a different section though the questions raised were not resolved.

And why do things keep disappearing? Whatever they were standing on in the swamp, the posts in 10x, whatever that "metal" object last episode was. Is the driller in on the ruse that he really can't tell if he is drilling into metal?

yes as has been said early on, the show is about The Mystery.
so Unless they find the Treasure of the Century,
They will keep the Show about the Mystery.
and like the 10x pit and the Camera Views.
they will stop short of proving there is nothing of real value to find anywhere.
and just move on to another spot leaving questions.

Count on the Last episode of the season showing them Gasping like they just
found the arc of the covenant , and the first show of the next season with them Scratching their heads over another piece of rotting wood :laughing7:
and moving to another spot with a fancy rock

Perhaps it's the way it's presented, meaning the cast is likeable, but I'm surprisingly okay with that. Sure, I've seen the same animation of booby traps 1000 times and the narrator saying "even a dead body?" 1001 but I remain a viewer because of their passion.

I guess I am just of the opinion that if you aren't finding any treasure, don't find the treasure in one spot per season. This is season three. Season 1? No treasure in the swamp. Season 2? No treasure in 10x. This season, no treasure in the money pit. You're getting the same amount of seasons, with the same results (no treasure) and the viewer at home doesn't have the confusion of where the heck on the island they are at any given moment, but more importantly, WHY DID YOU MOVE? You can still have your filler episodes of traveling to Europe or checking out the crazy theories but the core work is centered around one section of the island.

If Gold Rush has proved anything, it's that people that enjoy treasure shows that consist solely of people digging in the dirt with mixed success.

My take.... it was a big water filtration (attempt at) that didn't work out. Some ancient engineer though it possible to filter the salt out of the sea water. So any possible money pits are merely wells or cisterns that didn't produce clean water.i

There has been a major find just off the cost of the island. Whether it pertains to the "Money Pit" or not, we'll never know.

There was someone that planed a dive on the pile of rocks, with a mast near by, but the only regulator they had, didnt work. No other reg could be found on the North American continent, so project ended there!
