I'm in the process of building a tool shed.
Wait ✋️ it turned now into a turkey shed. 8x10ft 8ft high.
"Something" asked me this last Sunday if I was building a fish hut.
I told "it" that it was going to be for turkeys.
Well this "" kind of (tilted its head)small?
Its not for full time living, just shelter when the roost at night.
I got a "huff" and "it" walked down the road with their dog.
(30 Seconds later "it" went fast stepping past the gate heading to the hamlet-Max was barking🤣)
Now you're probably wondering what this "it, Something actually was.
Well the 🌶 had never 👀 👀 this type before walking down past his shop.

It walked like a woman but kind of talked like a man.
Now it had a full length violet dress, with a veil.
(Told the mrs-her reply was "What type of shoes was it wearing?"
I just shook the head, .
"You didn't look?

Dear, I was shell shocked, didn't really know where to look.

Well it turned out that this gown wearer is a Dr. in a small village up the way.
Go figure 🤔
I missed my opportunity to really throw a curve ball at it.

I should if said:
Well that's 80 sq.ft. each turkey takes up 2 sq. ft.
So I thought 40 per level.
Now if they duck their long necks I could easily fit 4 levels.
That's 160 turkeys.
But I forgot about water and feed so I rounded it down to 150.
Darn it, I missed another chance.
A doctor 🤣

Well this Dr. is a favorite type of Dr. with a lot of woman folk it seems.
He just got off a 2 yr suspension of his license for pill pushing
It seems he was a Mr make you feel real good kind of Dr.
I think his closet must hold other secrets 🤔

Not saying it's so.
But I might play him a tune if he makes it a habit of popping by for a visit .

Went to the day of the dead event in the 49er town of Hornitos. Was so cool. It's been done every years since the 1800s. So many people showed up and walked to the old church and cemetery. The line of candles looked so cool. A mix of culture too was so neat to see. Just a cool experience. The lighting is almost all candles put down by people.

Exploring a new permission

how do you all explore new permissions?

I used google satelite map, lidar and old maps 1888-1913 maps. and if nothing comes up i just do strips in an area i can do without damaging the main field.

did a strip run along the edge of a new late 1800s farm and got along a few other things, a complete medieval crotal bell and a roman coin, too corodede to identify tho.

Any advice for a grass field? havent walked it yet but nothing stands out on maps except on lidar a few weird lines that could have been a building hopefully but seem rather large.

Good morning, all!

I managed to scare up a few minutes to dig up a couple of interesting (to me, anyway) things, which you can see in this thread.

Meanwhile, we had a new buck come to visit last night. He's a bit smaller than the one we've been seeing, but still decent. My wife happened to be outside at the time and got some great pictures as he stopped to drink from the bird bath.
