I shouldn't spoil you's all and squander my rich works , but what the heck. Ya'll been good to me.
Frost this morning.
Last night I tried to get a recording of "the bouncy bugs".
They don't fly worth a toot. They bounce in the air.
I'm associating them with wetland. But in all my years don't recall them elsewhere.
They are of note because they are my harbingers of deer. Several years and 99% type. And I won't swear didn't miss seeing a deer that was around the other 1% of the events.
I'm no druid or anything but all the hours outdoors awaiting and awatching and soaking up the gloom on my swamp edge I get to imagining these are spirits of (?) the past. Or fairies.
But they're just bugs. Rough on mobility (I can relate!) but they get around. And struggle out of the damp to alert me. Hey hey hey ! Deer here here here!
