Just in case you don't already know the ID of the copperbrass strip with non-slip "treading" on it, in your 4th photo...Walked back out to the park as I noticed on a 1940s aerial there was activity in some areas. So I said heck I'll check it out. Just a few what's it
Had no idea what it was thanks. Makes sense I found it in the area where it looks like a house was below the fountain area. Found cast iron stuff too. It's a hard area to work this place is filled with bottle caps and pull tabs.Just in case you don't already know the ID of the copperbrass strip with non-slip "treading" on it, in your 4th photo...
It appears to be a component of an outdoor overhead electrical cable "strain-relief" clamp. I don't have a pic of one exactly like yours, but perhaps what is shown in the photos below are close enough that you get the idea. The ID-clues are:
1- the non-slip "treading" on the long flat strip,
2- the "ears" projecting from both sides of one end (sometimes both ends),
3- being copper or brass.
BTW, nowadays most are not copper/brass... you found an "older" one. I think aluminum is now preffered, as shown in the presentday version shown in the final photo.
