Long day of rigging a 10'×10' pergola through some trees and set down on the corner of the bank above the dock.
What a frigging nightmare this thing has been for me.
3yrs ago I moved it up from the hamlet. Some folks needed their property cleaned up so they gifted it to us.
I moved up with the tractor, and thought I would just plunk it down where I had planned.
Got stuck in the forest loam. A this unit has been staring at me for 3 yrs.
I cut the base off first then backed out with the top and legs.
Move the platform into place.
Then I had to turn this unit on its side, and get it past 4 trees (gate posts) as it was 12 inches too wide.

Now it close to its new home. Level, secure posts back on, fix some trim, railings on the cliff side. Later a screening for bugs.
But the frame is there now.

Growing older? No choice. :dontknow:

Growing up? Completely in my purview!
One of my favorite songs by Jimmy Buffett is “Growing older but not up”. Seems to meet the conversation

Fine job, Sir Pepper. Take the rest of the night off.

Eastern Ontario 🇨🇦
Nearest city is Kingston Ontario
Spent a couple of years in the late 80’s in upstate New York, made it over to Kingston a couple of times. Don’t remember much, kinda foggy from the years/alchohol.

What part of the world are you in now?

Looks like a great spot for relaxing

I’m currently working in southern Indiana. But my home and heart will always be in Dixie

Also gotta add have a deep love for the waters, sands, and beaches of the gulf coast. But anywhere there’s a beach I feel close to home. The wife and I made our first trip to the keys last year and had a very hard time leaving, headed back down next month.
