Oh wow. Leo the Hogmouth... I wonder why it hasn't caught on? Here's a few lowball medieval coins I bought a few months ago:

Noah,

Good score on those medieval coins. Odds are we'll never find those type of coins on this side of the pond well done!

I think I won them on an auction for like $12 plus a buck or two in shipping... I was pretty happy myself! I think I could make a buck or two if I sold them individually so I'll probably only keep the double tournois on the right.

So here are my options:

1. Detect a house site in the woods on my grandmas farm from the early 1900s, or

2. Detect a house site that burned down about ten years ago and has been abandoned ever since.

House site 1. Pros:

I have permission

It's accesible

House site 1. Cons:

My dad has hunted it before

There is a lot of junk there according to him.

House site 2.

Unknown build date, but it's about 300 yards from a grist mill that was built in 1782. It also has a stone cellar foundation.

Is 100% abandoned, and is a virgin site.

House site 2 cons:

I do not have permission because I don't know what ever happened to whoever owned it.

It's probably tick heaven.

Noah,

Yep good idea keep the best one of the lot and sell the other 2. Then go buy some more on the cheap and repeat you'll have a nice little sideline going in no time.

I've tried to do that before and it doesn't work... here's the problem: I'm a coin collector. :laughing7:

Site 2 sounds like it has a lot of potential Rusty! Are they near you or are these the places you are visiting in PA?

I tell everyone that my donkey is my best friend. His name is Jackson. He's about 14 years old. A trusting soul.
