Morning TC
Congrats on the closing and the new adventures.
Enjoy the exciting day that lays ahead.

Ok
It's a learning lesson in life.
Just a note of being young in the life out in the "Big Daddy Pants Working World" They seem to have an issue of thinking out of the box & to listen to a younger person's opinion/thoughts,
Oh it's an easy one to dump the blame on the younger one for running it out of fuel. Should of known better bla.bla,bla.
My thought would of been "well the tank should have enough fuel to get through the day"
Check oil-fill tank-grease work-work-work.
Watch & learn how to bleed the system-it might save yer arse down the road someday Rusty.
I hate doing it-so I'm pretty careful. But I did the small tractor early this year-had to get the tractor mechanic over to bleed out the injectors while I turned over.
It's easier to get fuel than do the process-so even after running equipment for 45+yrs I'm still daft.

One farm I worked on as a teen (pre driving on the road age) the boss told a co-worker to gas a particular tractor.
Unfortunately the radiator was low. Till filled with gas....

Why things had to be run low on fuel was possibly the result of former workers stealing gas at night and the bulk tank being low often.

I was told to gas a truck , then run it and catch up at a straw baling field a couple miles away.
Got about a gallon pumped before the fuel was gone...
I drove that truck into a drainage ditch while looking at the shifter pattern. Drove it out, somehow.
When I made it to the right field finally , the boss asked where I'd been. L.o.l.. I told him he needed to get the bulk tank filled.

Pea sized soft hail while I'm trying to modify a wheelchair carrier for the truck.
Coffee break!

This morning while I was out detecting, my wife
texted me a picture of herself wearing sweatpants.

She asked me... "Do these pants make me look fat"?

I responded with... Noooo!

But my Autocorrect sent it as... Moooo!
I then had to call her and explain what happened. :laughing9:

Well the sly fox got Buttons today (Sussex Rooster), not heartbroken just peeved that we grew him to 27 weeks to feed the fox! :BangHead:
Things have been pretty quiet, the 4 have been getting along, the pecking order well defined.
So I let the 4 out this morning, and put the hen (Pips) in the pen that divides the front half. (5 eggs in her first week of laying):headbang:

Everything going well herding the roosters to the fenced compound area-Pips decides to fly over the divider-out of the barn and shakes her booty.
Well I was alpha rooster pulling roosters off her. ( 4 roosters and a pipsqueak hen not good)
Grabbed her and a trip back into the barn, the 4 roosters were up staging each other all over the place.
Now the call of nature happened for me, then all heck broke loose! Looking out the window from the throne, Max going ballistic trying to get out, and all the roosters running through the yard and Buttons was the last one with the fox right behind him.
So pants still around the ankles I'm letting the dog out and the way he goes chasing the fox and chicken!

Well haste was the first order in grabbing the gun, got outside, and still trying to do the pants up properly.
Well the 3 roosters are on the hill screaming blue murder and no sight of dog-fox-Buttons.

Then Max returned and decided to herd the 3, so 2 went into the fenced compound and the 3rd one took off up the road and over the fence.
I looked for 30 minutes and there was no sign of feather or fox. Get in the house not 5 minutes and Max is going crazy again, I'm in the coldroom, go running up look out, the 3 roosters are going ballistic and there is the fox trying to get into the compound. So back out again for 30 minutes playing hunter, then decided it's probably watching me-so I resigned.
Took me another 40 minutes to calm them roosters down and get them into the barn again.
The mrs arrived home and I told her the story and said I'm going to go play for a few hours. Needed some reflecting while detecting-1-cuff button was the award.
TGIF-not this one for sure.

Dave,

If the story of your wife and the sweat pants is true....here's hoping you have a comfortable sofa.....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
