Sorry to keep hearing about your chicken troubles Jim, at least you have Max to sound the alarm whenever the varmint comes sneaking around.

It's been a good stretch of time between kills now. Had a live trap out for longtime and nothing.
But it seems to pick it's time and under 10 minutes out it must being waiting.
I will set the live trap again up today, hopefully it works.

Once they know there's a plump free range organic chicken to be had-it's only time that they'll be back.
Got a huge Raven hanging around of late also-just another one looking for a free meal.

When living in the animal tracks it's part of living, now the leaves are on the ground, the little rascals blend in better.

But it beats living in the urban where one can't fart in their own backyard without the neighbour hearing it.

It must be so frustrating Jim, you lovingly raise your chickens, only lose them to predators in your area.

Let me just clarify for you... my neighbor only called the cops that one time I farted in my backyard and in my defense, it did kinda sound like a shotgun blast!

I have a saying for all the ones out there still doing the do when I hear "Oh I Can't Wait To Be Retired"

"Living The Dream" Now that's a lottery winner statement-so rare.

Retirement: What is Retirement? It is the time in life where a person gets to do all the things they have worked for in their working days.

Result: A person ends up being busier than when they were working. Crazy I know-try it folks.
