Yeah...WIF is up early! So early that I've been up all night! No major probs, just one of those nights.

Sure it was gas? Most heavy equipment is diesel-which means bleed the system to get it going again(tad bit of air in the line and it's stops). Gas is an easy, pump, pump the gas petal - vroom.

The secret is never get too flustered when it's not behaving-sometimes really slow is one's best friend.

I say gas, I mean fuel. I'm not sure what it runs on truthfully. When he handed it to me, the fuel needle was almost touching E. When it sputtered and coughed then quit, the needle was way below E.

It's a learning lesson in life.
Just a note of being young in the life out in the "Big Daddy Pants Working World" They seem to have an issue of thinking out of the box & to listen to a younger person's opinion/thoughts,
Oh it's an easy one to dump the blame on the younger one for running it out of fuel. Should of known better bla.bla,bla.
My thought would of been "well the tank should have enough fuel to get through the day"
Check oil-fill tank-grease work-work-work.
Watch & learn how to bleed the system-it might save yer arse down the road someday Rusty.
I hate doing it-so I'm pretty careful. But I did the small tractor early this year-had to get the tractor mechanic over to bleed out the injectors while I turned over.
It's easier to get fuel than do the process-so even after running equipment for 45+yrs I'm still daft.
