Morning rook.

So are you guys going to be getting wet from the newest hurricane Beta?

I know the folks in Atlantic Canada are talking about her hitting their area on Thursday.

It's 2 different systems Beta is hitting the gulf.
Teddy is moving up the off eastern seaboard.
Now if you Google Beta (Male/Female) you'll see 640+million hits.:laughing7:

Morning Bill
Getting the frosts of late?
Yesterday we were spared but it's cooler and damper this morning so I think we'll get another hit.

Good morning Jim & Bill.
Thanks for the 'hurricane clarification' Jim... time for another coffee. :coffee2: :laughing7:

Hey, didn't you mention that you were building a brooder and had more chicks coming? :icon_scratch:

Morning Rook... Anti... Pepper...Bill.

Not yet Dave. I’m sure with my luck the eye will pass over my house.

Hello friends:hello: !!

Good morning Jim & Bill.

Ya, I have 20 day old chicks coming on Wed. morning.(all ready sexed)
So I thought this would be a simple (clarification somewhat simple) task.:laughing7:

Emptied the 17-16ft bundles of siding and other construction material. Along with 2 smaller 6' roll out awnings and a 16' roll out monster. All onto the car hauler trailer.
Now this was a quick process and now I went to rake the dirt floor section of the barn.
Why does it have a hollow sound:icon_scratch:
So my next 6 hours was shovelling out horse sh**!!!
Impacted with sand and anywhere from 4" to 10" deep.
I'm thinking around 1993 era by the texture/and taste.:tongue3:

Horse calendar on barn wall-take note please.

So a couple of loader buckets of beach sand to level.
All the supplies are ready-now I can build the brooder.
I will use aluminum flat stock, wrap it around into a long gated oval and that will be their home for the next month.
Have to keep it at 95-100F for a month at least then reduce 5F a week for another month to 6 weeks.
Will grind up layer mash, add whey, and chick starter to get them started.
Everything cert. Organic for their feed.

I'll use the current coop for the new chicks and kick the other 23 week olds out into a expanded coop I'm building today.
4 roosters and a pigmy hen isn't a great thing.
The pecking order is coming through stronger now and one Sussex (Buttons) is on the bottom of the order.
So maybe the expansion will give them some more space before the soup/roaster plot happens.

flooded another equinox......and found nothing but trash !! Mine lab will know my name good.....I'll just keep sending them in until they won't take it back !! Im one year into my 3 year warranty and this will be the third replacement control pod. These units cannot work reliably in half there rated waterproof depth !! And thats the truth of it. So now I'll post up another failed nox and start to argue with the same three or 4 knuckle heads who defend these failures. I just love when someone thinks they are a water hunter and the big test for the machine is to submerge it in the bathtub......if thats the case you not a real water hunter if you have to use a bath tub to test it. The next person that says that to me im gonna ask how many finds they've made in the tub !! I guess I'm hunting the wrong spot and all the doubloons are found in the bath tub !!

"I'm thinking around 1993 era by the texture/and taste." :p :laughing7:

Jim, you'll have to post up some pics of how your chickens are looking now, the new chicks and the enclosure that you're building.
Danae keeps asking when I'm going to bring her to your place to meet max and your new brood.

Morning Bart.

Man you are so special-just saying......

Reason is Dave asked you-nobody else if they were interested in looking at his post up of finds........:dontknow:

We use to refer to those guys as brown noser's-always sucking up to the management/boss.:laughing7:

I did a Happy Birthday shout out to the big guy.

When the dust settles buddy a visit is very much warranted.

Just leave Danae behind and we'll employ her for an introduction to a little labour. :headbang:

I'm pretty sure this is how we all learned how to scuba dive Bart. :laughing7:

Sorry to hear about your Nox water troubles. Maybe you should extend an invitation to "the same three or 4 knuckle heads who defend these failures" to a beach and show them the 'real world conditions' on how these units are actually used.

Nice buddy, it's no wonder you live in the middle of a forest and only have the trees and your chickens to talk to. :laughing9:

That's why I never run out and buy anything right when it comes out.

My first Excal blue was reliable so when the X2 came out I was first on the list... I figured they could only have improved on an already tried an true design :)

BUT... I will admit... I bought 2 of the first shipment of X2's for $2,500 prepaid WITH shipping included and a slew of extras.

Both of which were used and abused and then sold... only to buy #3... which I still own and use.

BTW... good morning Bart.
