Today's picking, little early but it's who gets to the patch first.
My addiction or the four legged critters, and things that have beaks.

The bright ones are raspberries crazy good.

Jim,

Good haul we just weighed the wild black raspberries and so far 1 1/2 lbs. Last year in total we harvested 3 1/2 lbs with any luck a bit more this year since they propagated more plants.

My dad was killer at the cane pole toss. I had so many cane poles. They make great pretend swords. Every once in a while I'd get a stuffed animal. And the goldfish. How many did I flush?
When I got older, I used to flirt with those carny's, always got an extra long ride. :laughing9: (ARC mumbles, "Succubus!")

When me and the MR started dating, we went with another couple to a festival. We smoked so much weed and hash on the way. Was flying pretty high. I don't even remember which festival it was. I wanted this stuffed bear so bad. I believe it was knock the milk cans over game. Future MR tried and failed and I pouted and used all my wiles to get him to try some more. $104.00 later the guy running the booth gave it to him. I guess he had pity on him. I was happy for a brief second until the loss of money sunk in. Well, future MR shoulda took that as a sign. LOL!

Then I went into the Army, we got married, blah, blah. Started going to festivals and he started playing the balloon/dart game. He was good at it. He won all kinds of mirrors. The house we rented was decorated in band/party mirrors. Looked like a bachelor pad and I loved it! We still have some of those somewhere, I think.

I went to Menards to get a new coffee pot. The trip cost me $360.00!!!! But I took my dad with me and he got to see me spend the $200.00 birthday gift he gave me on the coffee pot and a dehydrator. He (nor my mom) ever got to see where the of money went, so he liked that.

Didn’t read all the above about summer but mowing at 107 degree heat index is not a whole lot of fun. Ta hell with summer. We folks down here hate it ain’t that right Sadie? She said yes.

The Ohio State Fair. My dad took me in a freak show. Can't call them that now, but I don't know what else to call it. The "ushers" escorted all of the kids to the front and the parents stayed in back. I was about 6/7/8 and all alone with stranger kids. Well this lady turned into an ape right before our eyes. Screaming every where! Kids trampling other kids trying to get out, parents (including my dad) frantically searching for their own. Never been to another one. I'm good.

CATALOGUE NOTE
inscriptions

bi’llah yathiq ‘ali
‘Ali puts his trust in God’
The name ‘Ali is written within the image of the lion which often represents ‘Ali as he is called Asadullah 'Lion of God’

Around the bezel:
al-‘izz al-da/’im wa al-i/qbal al/ al-baqa
‘Perpetual Glory and Prosperity [and] Long-life’

Inside the ring, in Persian: Undeciphered

Whereas the seal on this ring is probably datable to the eight or ninth century, it was mounted on a ring of a later, twelfth-century period. The quality of the carving is particularly fine.

The new canes are popping this year.
Found one cane behind my shop while moving the ladder. 17 big berries were ripe, my wife asked me where I put them. Burp....

I found a history book that had a few passages/quotes that my mother had given the author.

I can sure relate to winning one of those large Teddy Bears. Right after we were married, we went to our state fair with another couple. Wife saw this 4' tall blue and white bear. This was were you toss coins onto glass plates and hope they did not slide off, which they always did. I spent a lot of money trying to win her that bear, with no luck. I finally asked the guy how much for the bear. He had to check with the owner to see if they could sell it outright. He came back with a price and so I handed him the cash. Maybe 10-15 years ago the wife said she wanted to toss the bear because it was taking up to much room. My reply was short and simple: " If the bear goes...........so do you". We still have the bear :icon_thumright:
