We've received a bunch of rain here in Muskoka Jim, good thing the open fire ban has been lifted in this area too.
My daughter wants to burn a couple of her ex-friends clothes in the fire pit. :laughing7:

We still have the ban on here "Thank goodness" I don't need to be putting out a fire. I smelt burning pine the other day, I was try to get a sense of where it was coming from. -Very worrisome

BTW Did you get the 500KB attachment on the text message I sent to the Mrs? :tongue3:

Morning Jim,

Thanks for not sending the 500KB text message to my wife's phone, she gets so paranoid about data charges on her phone.
We pay for a phone for her Mom on our plan, each month there are a small amount of data charges on our plan from her Mom, even though we don't have a data plan. Virgin calls it "Data Leakage" and just removes it from our monthly bill.

Can you say... OCD? :laughing7:

I spent Friday and part of Saturday doing repairs around the cottage to make it livable for the girls. I also did the grocery shopping. :thumbsup:
I have a running list of 'repairs' that I've done so far and will email to the property owner with pics when we get home on Friday.

Nothing major, I just had to clean the bathrooms, even though we paid $200 for a cleaning service to do this before we arrived. All of the drop-type drawer handles and the hardware had fallen off from use and lack of upkeep, so I had to fix about 12 handles on three dressers & night tables. I also went to War-Mart in Bracebridge yesterday and bought a new shower curtain liner and rings for our upstairs bathroom, as the liner was absolutely gross! :p
I also rewashed the cloth shower curtain and the bath towels as they were disgusting as well. Today, I'm going to run all of the plates & glasses in the kitchen through the dishwasher, because they're disgustingly dirty as well. To top it all off the tv isn't working properly with the satellite cable and after waiting on hold for Shaw Cable to call me back yesterday, I was disconnected... so we now have no TV! :BangHead:
Other then that, we're having a great time! :laughing9:

Gee for the $$$ they ask at least they could have everything in ship/shape condition.

I always admired your ability to keep those floor mats so clean in the truck-I could of used them for placemats in the field at lunch time.:laughing7:

The owner of the cottage just texted me letting me know that she'd waited online with Shaw Cable for 2hrs last night, before she finally had enough and hung up. It's definitely to her advantage having me here and willing to call the cable company back to get the TV working before the next renters arrive on Friday at 3pm. I told her that I might try again after 'the girls' get up, as it is Sunday morning.

I notice that the download speed of the internet is much better now that my daughter isn't online with 5 or 6 chat windows open on her laptop! :laughing7:

As Shania used to say, "I make everyone take their boots off before that get into my truck!" :thumbsup:

It seems to be getting some worse. Just dumb folks. I myself went in Dollar General without a mask. Just forgot. But since we are a rural state you would think it would be better than it is. Nope.

Good afternoon Msbeepbeep, Rook, Bill, Antiquarian, Pepper, and any other mates around.
Msbeepbeep, I’m with you.
With all the testing and stuff, and reports with roaming stat parameters, it is a true vision of FUBAR.
Since it is becoming quite clear that the death rate no longer is . . . . (How to say) . . of a level that would warrant any kind of shutdown at all. But yet it continues.
I’m going to watch to see as all the curtains get pulled back. (We need to try to not be collateral damage)
With all the bombardment of stories, it can be hard to know who or what to trust.
I guess I’m also hoping for some sort of accountability for all of this. Like I said . . FUBAR
