LOL, so I am going through old files to delete or save. I come across this poem I started. Omg it’s kinda corny but I will post it.
A Digger Is Born
We bought a 40 acre farm
Overgrown with weeds and not much charm
A dilapidated barn we had torn down
burned the remains and buried it in the ground
Dug a pond and built a barn and a house that is the best
And out the window we can see 40 souls who have been laid to rest
So in the spring we went out to seek
And what should we find but a bottle in the creek
Every year I would return
For a bottle freed by the waters churn
I was bit by the digger bug you see
And all other hobbies were dropped by me
I asked Santa for a metal detector one year
He was happy to be able to bring me cheer
So I swung and I swung and it went,”Beep beep.”
But all I could find was trash in the deep
Fence And fence posts, glass and nails
But still little clues to this farm's tales
I got discouraged and put it aside
And went back to searching the waters tide
So I found a bottle I wanted ID’d
I took to the Internet to see
Treasurenet is where I found the information
I became a charter member without any hesitation
And as I shared about myself
I told of my detector sitting on a shelf
I got my first p.m. on that day
A member said, ”Don’t give up!Keep swinging away!”
ROFL that’s as far as I got.
