#1. I DO NOT LIKE BEING LIED TO....
#2. IF YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO DO SOMETHING, QUIT CHANGING YOUR MINDS, AND DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO DO...

Now, on to story No.2: ;D

Hello all,,,
It was such a beautiful day to be detecting I decided to head way out into the country to do some hunting. I come across an old lake with a castle sitting next to it. I had been to this lake several times in the past and didn't even notice the castle being there, what a surprise. The pictures below shows the old lake and the castle...

After realizing I was on the wrong side of the lake I had to swim across while holding my detector above my head to keep it dry. Once reaching the other side I found myself in a thick forest full of danger. There were many crechers lurking about, but me, being an expert in all forms of self defense, was not worried in the least. The picture below shows just a few of the beast I had to deal with.
Beat.jpg

There were well over a 1000 of the dreaded "Red-Headed Mookies", and after quickly disposing all of them, all I had to deal with was the small monkey like beast the local towns people called Fred. I didn't bother to ask them why they called him Fred as I had only one thought on my mind at the time which was to locate the treasure my superbly tuned instincts told me was located there. After finally reaching the castle I used my dowsing abilities to locate the general area of where to start my hunt. It wasn't long before I was rewarded with my first find of the day. It was a gold coin with a date of 25B.C. Not to brag, but by me being so well informed and educated in all fields regarding history, I knew right away it was what they call a "Roman 25B.C." coin..(Shown Below)
GoldCoin.jpg

The next target I came across was a bit more difficult to retrieve. It was at the remarkable depth of 2-1/2 feet down, according to my recently self-modified detector, and very unlike me, I had evidently left my dig'n knife at the last location where I had found the gold coin. Not to worry, I simply used some of my Kungfu, Ninja, style moves, and proceeded to blast my way down to the target with my, remarkably strong, and highly developed, iron fist. After making short work of the actual digging I was very disappointed in what I had found. It was a very common pendant with a medium size ruby in the center.
RedRuby.jpg

Getting bored with the mediocre finds outside the castle I decided to go inside to do a bit of scrummaging. I ended up in the dungeon and was very surprised at what I found there. Someone had abandoned an old 57 Chevy. It was still in fairly good condition, but it definitely needed some of my expert help with it's overall appearance. I took it home and worked some of my magic on it and it came out looking pretty good... I threw in a picture of both, the before, and after shots.
57Chevy.jpg

Although the trip had been a total failure, in my book, I was still very impressed with my outstanding abilities to locate and recover treasure. I knew exactly were the ultimate treasure was located. I just wanted to leave it for the less inexperienced, and most unfortunate treasure hunters to find. They really do need all the help I can give them...

I hope some of you take note of this story and try to decipher the many clues I have left within these words. There is an ultimate treasure to be found, and if you have just a hint of my abilities in you, you can surely find out is location...
Have a horrible day, I know I did....

Neat contest guys, or at least, I hope it's started... ;)

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

This being my first attempt to win the contest, and being an honest person by nature, I now will tell the details of how and where I dig up the one-and-only HOLY GRAIL.

It was a dark and stormy night in July of 1908. I was living in a makeshift shack on the outskirts of Katmandu when I overheard a couple of locals talking about the "cup of gold." Now right off my ears perked up and my heart began a-thumping. GOLD! can do mighty strange things to a man's soul, and I am no different from any other man...well I am different now, but then I was like all other men. But that's another story. Continuing...I listened intently to what they were saying, but my Tibetan is a bit rusty, so I had to fill in the pieces I couldn't quite understand. I got enough info to know they had buried a "cup of gold" out in the stream bed about 4 kilometers from my shack. Being destitute and hankering to get back to the good ol' USA, I made a plan and stuck to it. Before sunrise the next morning, I was hoofing it to that stream to look for signs of digging.

By the time I got to the stream, the sun was up and the water was crystal clear. I walked along until I saw what I was looking for--a part of the streambed that had few rocks on it. There I set to work. Digging down about 2 meters, I struck a solid object. Kneeling in the water and up to my armpits in it, I reached down into the hole and yanked at the object of my curiousity. Up came an old box, about the size of a milk crate. It was heavy and very old, but not too exciting on the outside. With a tad of trepidation and lots of anticipation, I flung open the lid and peered inside.

It was here that I nearly wet myself. (Being already wet, I knew it would not have mattered.) Inside the box was the find of a millenium or two. The box contained one of the most sought-after items in world history...The Holy Grail.

I sold it to a sherpa for steamer fare back to the US. That sherpa had the worst teeth I ever laid my eyes on. Still, I wonder what became of the golden cup...

Back at home, I bought myself some new britches and some other duds. I was such a handsome fella now that Hollywood, Californy hired me to make a few talking movies. Here I am, sitting on my trusty pal--Tony.

The End.

Oh, man you got me on this one Underbear, lol :D. Even though the picture you posted at first didn't look big enough for a tavern I still believed you. And I guess I thought with all that snow a bobcat would come in mighty handy. Anyway, never mind about posting your finds on the todays finds. I went to my profile to find your thread and saw the thread title about a liar and was confused thinking the website was getting messed up.

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

Just entering for fun...

.

THIS IS NOT A LIE! So I guess I cant win then.

It all started last july in the middle of the summer. I had just purchased my ace 250 and was out in my woods. I got a strong hit and dug. This being my first signal i wasnt sure how far to dig so when i didnt get anything I kept going deeper and deeper and deeper. Anyways, when I finaly hit something it was a big metal box. I hauled it out and look what was in side! Sold half the treasure for 10 mil but covered up the news story. Thats why you havent heard about it before.
SHOWN IS ONE OF THE 10,000 BAGS OF WHEATS. INCLUDED ARE 2000 BU 1909 S VDB's.

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

Cool Cash,
This is obviously a lie. You stated you found 10,000 bags of wheats but I clearly see an Indian head penny in the picture. Shame on you.

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

Wow, Underbear those women from the trunk look perfectly perserved....simply amazing.

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

I know NJ thats what I said I said ladies you sure look good for 150 year olds, then the older one gave me one of thesewat568c.jpgand said what time is it and I said late very very late and she said lets take a walk on the wild side and I said.........wait a minute I don't wanna get in trouble with Jeff again. So then I went home to sweet, loving, caring, beutiful wifey :-X ;D 8) :D ;)

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

You almost had me until I realized the watch is dated 1997 which does not fit in with the 150 years old unless she would leave the trunk every night and rob unsuspecting people that wandered through the wood but that would make this a ghost story not a lie and disqualify you from the contest. Forget I said anything....

By the way how was that first sentence for a run on sentence...I should have paid more attention in grammer class. The nuns would really be disappointed in me...

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

Hey NJ you just gave me an idea for another contest that I'm sure to win. Worst grammer and punctiuation on TN :-[

Re: New Contest...........TN's Best Liar!!!

NJ: Sorry, I forgot to mention that there were a few Indians and Flying eagle cents mixed in. But, no large cents.

HH!
