The only other post made on here that would even come close would be the guy who found 18? Double Eagles in a vacant lot in San Francisco. I believe it was about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago. Anybody remember that one? Given the choice I would take this Silver Hoard. Thanks for sharing this with the Treasure Hunting Community.
Very top. The 1715 gold "pelican" find is right there, as well. Sold for $950k or something?

Re: My best silver day...E.V.E.R...

My lower jaw just became unhinged and is now lying on my chest. Truly remarkable and what a feeling that must have been to pick those out of the river. Just imagine the history, you are the first person to touch those since someone who lived in the 1830's. Awe inspiring. I have been waiting to get a water machine, but I think I have waited long enough. Banner

Re: My best silver day...E.V.E.R...

Did you find them IN the water at the edge of the river or on land?

Re: My best silver day...E.V.E.R...

The panacea ( /pænəˈsiːə/), named after the Greek goddess of healing, Panacea, also known as panchrest, was supposed to be a remedy that would cure all diseases and prolong life indefinitely. It was sought by the alchemists as a connection to the elixir of life and the philosopher's stone, a mythical substance which would enable the transmutation of common metals into gold.

The Cahuilla Indian people of the Colorado Desert region of California, according to legend, used the red sap of the Elephant Tree as a panacea medicine.

A panacea is also a literary term to represent any solution to solve all problems related to a particular issue.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been moved to Best of T-Net yet, for it is more than deserving of a place there.

Read the initial post... Garrett AT-Pro.
I'd say AquaChigger will be getting something pretty nice in the mail pretty soon from the fine folks at Garland TX.

Thanks for catching the question for me. I've been running pretty hard this week and haven't been on the computer much. The AT PRO has definitely made a huge difference in my finds. Thanks again everyone for the wonderful comments!

Well, I figured I'd wait and be one of the last ones to post a reply to your fabulous discovery. Everyone else's words really sums it up, its really one of, if not THEE best visible posted find on treasurenet. Congratulations to you. That is simply fantastic.

One question for ya though, I never thought of hunting "fords" in rivers. I'm not quite familiar with them. Can you ellaborate a bit and tell us: What exactly is a "ford"?, so we know what to look for in our rivers. Thanks..........................Rich

PS: Is it some type of river crossing where people walked across on rocks from point A to point B?

Hi... thanks for the kind words. A ford is just a river crossing. Before there were bridges, getting across rivers and streams could be very hazardous. Imagine having to wade or ride a horse across a flooded river in January! It was just a fact of life not too long ago. Journals and diaries are filled with the horror and anxiety of travelers having to cross in dangerous times. In fact, it wasn't uncommon for travelers to have to camp at crossings for weeks waiting for the water level to fall. We have it so easy today!
