Blower (Mailbox) Construction for Our New Boat

It looks great guys. Thats great that each of you seem to have specialty to put this ship together. Only thing I could help with is , I can work with acrylic, can paint, pressure wash, clean, computer stuff, thats the end of my talents that could be related at all to putting together a ship. ha.
oh, can cook.

This may sound strange, but has anyone ever considered adding an "octopus" attachment of 3 or 4 6-8 inch diameter hoses to the discharge of the mail box, so that 3 or 4 guys could operate individually or in tandem. Each could zero in on an area of interest without burying as much of the surrounding area. Plus, he could see what is there BEFORE it is blown away. Oops. I forgot Newtons 2nd law...nevermind.

Bob,

I have heard them called elephant trunks. We have not talked about that yet because we really haven't had the need to yet. It may be something we look at in the future.

Have you got any pictures of the apparatus?

The boat is looking good.do you think you guys will have your boat in sebastian by the 4th?im heading to sebastian july 3rd.im taking my boat out on the ICW to watch the fireworks on the 4th.

I dont think anybody will be working on it between now and then. I am thinking later that week at the latest. Its almost ready.

I'm back working today, and Luis was here until last night. Unfortunately the swim platform is a 2 man job, but I'm the only one here right now. I may go wake Brad up later and recruit his help. :D The bottom is painted, the flybridge is up and mostly complete. Bimini will go up very soon and platform has maybe a day left on it. Being in Sebastian on the 4th depends on when we get the fiberglass work done. Everything else should be complete before then. We could finish the fiberglass in Sebastian, but I'd rather have everything perfect before we go.

Jason

Do not get in a hurry guys because if you do you WILL forget something.
You are doing a GREAT JOB.
You guys WILL be successful BIG TIME within two weeks AFTER GETTING IN THE WATER.

I just got back home last night...I was out there for 6 days working on the bottom and other stuff....we still got lots to do, but is looking really nice...

Fisheye brought up something I think you guys might want to take a closer look at.
Where is the dive platform going to be because according to the photos I have I see only a couple of guys small enough to go between the blower tubes???
Drink a lot of DIET SODAS.
Peg

The dive plataform is going to be pretty cool. I decided to make it so the blowers would raise up between slots in the plataform. The slot pieces would be hinged and fold out of the way to raise and lower the blowers. When the blowers are down, the slots would fold down and the plataform would be solid all the way across.

There will also be a ladder on each side of the swim plataform, which will make it easier when we have 4 people in the water trying to scramble up after seeing those big sharks!

The cabin its starting to look nice

It's amazing that this all started from a long weekend with you and Joseph, eh Scott? While we're having the time of our lives, we won't forget the weekend that brought us together at your site...thanks! Brad and I put the final touches on the blower pins, and get all the little stuff done to make her sea-worthy. She'll sit on the lift Thursday night and splash first thing Friday morning. Barring any issues, we'll be in Sebastian Friday afternoon sometime.

Everybody have a great 4th of July.

Jason
