Good advise Bob,
Thanks and feel welcome on this thread as often as you want.

Thanks Ed,
I do think it is a lot closer to the end of the trail for Heartquest than she thinks.

That isn't an Ogham sign, but if someone said a Spanish Ladder I might tend to agree.

Lovnit:
I see you seem to have marked what may be 2 other faces on rjwmam's photo. They are surely possible, but I like MINE better. LOL No offense intended.
Since the native Americans would most likely see the "Greys" as devils, this carving would still fit your topic over on your thread. And the shape of their head could be used as a pointer since these guys have been seen throughout history, there's no reason why the Spanish or Ancients would not use the head shape as a pointer and the detail could be telling us something besides "treasure" clues. The Ancients may be the ones who originally carved this stone and the Spanish following centuries later wouldn't know what the heck it was EXCEPT a pointer. The Spanish may have completely missed the full significance of the carving.

These are some very good points, lovnit. This is a good example of how smaller signs are put on larger ones. The Spanish are noted for doing that.

When regarding disagreements on other threads, (this one too) the first thing to do is separate yourself, feelings and all from the fray.
Realize everyone is adult and if you feel your subject has merit, disregard or ignore the ramblings and rants of trolls.
These outbursts only show the lack of intelligence or initiative required to investigate farther.
Post your findings and continue the thread as if the troll isn't there. Moderators won't fix the thread if you respond to the troll.

There will always be someone who won't see signs, not that they can't, they just won't. they refuse to accept any version of history other than the static one presented over the last couple hundred years or will disagree just because they can, even when confronted with artifacts that prove your point. Over the entirety of this thread I have shown these things and seen them disregarded either as bogus or inconsequential. So proof doesn't matter to these people. Only their own argument matters, anyone who disagrees is wrong.

Keep a thick skin friends and an adventurous heart.
Most of all, have fun and stay safe.

Hi all,
We've been taking a break. But got back out there yesterday and I thought I'd show you a photo of the little heart that formed the bottom jaw of that turtle head shadow on the top of the tomb shaped rocks. I pulled it out and took a photo. Tried to place it back as it had been.

Also saw a small square cave up there and was surprised to notice this little owl over it. It wouldn't be very easy to climb up to this and it's creepy being up there because there is fresh rock fall all around it.

Old Dog - thanks for your perspective once again. People shouldn't attack each other here, but just state their perspectives. Sometimes this place gets like a You Tube comment area.

heartquest;
There's another heart rock in the bottom of the hole below the owl in that last picture.

Well here's somethin I found down by Round Hill, south of Poncha Springs, Colorado. Legend of buried gold there, google it. I always look for rocks that are out of place and I was on the bald knob to the east of Round Hill when I noticed six rocks that had been placed in the form of an arrow. It points west southwest, slightly left of the hill. You have to be there to get it better, but I flagged each stone and took this pic, so maybe you can see it. From the pic, you can go there and check it out yourself, and maybe you better, cause I don't think it will last long. South of the road people have been campin and drug up rocks for fire places. Who knows what position those rocks were in before. I can't say how long the rocks formin the pointer have been there. I didn't move them, but they appeared to have settled in the ground about a quarter of an inch or so. Another thing. Could just be random happenstance, but I believe I was checked out when I was at the rock pointer. A vehicle showed up within 15 minutes of my arrival in the area and stopped while I was gettin ready to photograph the pointer. I acted like I was adjustin the camera and then took some shots of the mountains. He moved on and checked out my vehicle and eased on out. I just had a bad feelin about that and probably comes from readin Hillbilly Bob too much, you think? Nothin else happened, so probably nothin to that.

I wonder how that person would have reacted if you had pointed your camera at him and started taking a few pics of HIM and HIS vehicle.
A person on the other end of the country had similar experiences on a project he was working.

In your photo, it looks like that owl rock might be a "deadfall" that will drop if that heart rock is moved from under the stone on the left. Be very careful.
There's a cherubim's profile on the middle left kissing the cheek of the owl.

I have had similar stuff happen...
They sure take off quick when you start making an obvious photography session of them and their vehicle ... license plates, good facial shots etc, LOL.

Nice find. Man made signs are not uncommon, and the more definite the 'man-madeness', the better the find. Could have been made by all kinds of folks for all kinds of reasons. If you're still curious about it, go back out and follow the line, both directions, and see if something else turns up. The guys in the vehicle can also be explained in a number of ways. Is the site private land, or cattle-lease public land? Salida's a growing area with lots of rich new landowners - maybe someone's paranoid about people walking around. Or maybe it's the rancher. If you see them again, it's a concern.

go with your feelings rginn, keep your guard up.even if its someone thats nosey and dosent mind there own bis. can be trouble from what i seen in life.good eye on the rocks. dogtth

That "Independent Dealer" sign is for folks who are independent dealers in metal detectors and other TH'ing equipment and make it known to the Mods so they can post For Sale ads on TNet. If you can't remove it on your Profile Page; ask a Mod to do it.

Hmmmm that's odd. I'll post this issue in the mod forum so Marc can take care of it. :tongue3:
