Top Treasure Finds

Had an awesome hunt on Saturday.

After a long wait ,got one of my major bucket listers : An engraved belt plate from the War of 1812
It's crazy how many times I imagined myself finding one and it finally happened on Saturday! Although I know it's going to be hard to ID this one, I couldn't be happier with its condition.



The letters seem to indicate L.S.V. and I suspect it belonged to a militia soldier. ( Loyal S.... Volunteers?)

Still a couple of more weeks before Ironhorse is ready to dig, but I got out for 4 hours today, and did not at all expect results like this!


So this is my kick-off for Fall, and my last year digging has been very good, so I decided to give myself a bit of a goal this year... like a challenge. The challenge was to find something good enough to have published in Western & Eastern Treasures magazine, something I have never done, but obviously being a member of the T-net have seen several others do it. Went out today and dug this on the very first hole. Was in an area where dirt had been pushed over an embankment. I think this may be one of the best coins I have ever dug. Ive dug a lot of large cents us and colonial but not many old US silvers. I'll take it !
Any guesses on what you think it would grade?

I just got back from England and wanted to share a couple of finds. I was in a field not getting much and got a decent signal. Now up to this point I had dug a ton of old coins and buttons galore, but no outstanding finds that I was hoping these old fields would give up. I dig the hole and see a gold circle staring back at me. I am thinking this must be the foil top to a liquor bottle and pick it up. Nope. Knew right away that it was gold and it was old. I later found out that it was minted in 1412-13, the only years they minted them and that it was a Henry IV Quarter Nobel...

Out for a hunt with the gang and found a nice part of history.

This is the biggest tooth I have ever found. It was laying in the sand at the water line and it's 3 inches. I'm very pleased to have found it.

Just got back from a few weeks overseas on a mission, just itching to get back at my new site in SC. Recoveries so far have been killer with an assortment of early silver, 18th century toy cannon, and a 1740s 2 escudo counterfeit. hello all i went. To mu Great grandmother's house it was built in 1910. When I got there the i started to find some wheats (not pictured) and a silver plated spoon (also not pictured) then i got this weird signal i thought it was going to be a pull tab when i dug it. This month has been outstanding for me. I have never in my life been this lucky and just want to say thank you to whoever is looking out for me.

I went out today for few hours just to kill time. I wasn’t expecting much so I was just taking my time digging targets. I digging lots of thrash as usual along with pennies. I was using the 800 and since I wasn’t finding much I started just jumping between park 1 and field 1. My best ring ever 7.5g 14k white gold with 33 diamonds all tested good main stone is about 3/4 carat. Found in the dry sand at my favorite beach. Checked all lost and found ads with no luck.
