Long day with Donnie Bailey .3 sites and not a lot of targets.last site gave up the button on the lip of real old cellar.thought it was just a plain button but as I was scrubbing it at home in the sink, this guy on horse appeared.looks definitely like a 1700's button and I have never seen another one like this. Hoping it could be military...

🥇 BANNER 1850 Charleston "Porter" slave Tag

1850 Charleston "Porter" slave Tag
Evening Tnet . I don't post often as I don't get out much nowadays due to heavy workload and 2nd kid now almost 10 months old but on Friday I was able to carve out a few hours to get out. Decided to go to an area that I've been going to for years that has turned up some neat relics but nothing earth shattering but knowing that it dates to the late 1600 I always have hope that sooner or later something good would come up. Friday was that day and it's the 1 thing that I wanted to find since I started detecting. Working the some thick under brush and barely being able to stand I was having...

🥇 BANNER Mexican Border Patrol 1916

Mexican Border Patrol 1916
Holy Moly!
Got me a sweet permission, been drooling over this place for years.... shooting for coins, got 5 wheats, and a 17-S Merc:headbang:

Took a while, but I found the old clothesline.... then this beauty pops out.

At first, I just found the bottom half, eyesight not so good, but realized the holes meant there was maybe more to the story.
Same hole, but deeper, I fished out the top half..... and in great shape!

So from 1910 to 1919 the US and Mexico were going at it, and President Wilson called in the...

🥇 BANNER Seated Liberty Spill - Dimes, Quarters, and a Half Dollar!

Seated Liberty Spill - Dimes, Quarters, and a Half Dollar!
So I decided to hike out about 45-60 minutes through the woods & up a mountain to get to a new site. Naturally there was a shorter, easier way to get there that I discovered later on, but anywho. The site had definitely been hit before. There was iron laying on top of rocks, and kids had turned the barn foundation into their local party spot - beer cans and broken bottles all over. It was looking pretty bleak except for an area that was cleared of rocks about 300 feet away from the root cellar. Dug an 1840 William Henry Harrison presidential campaign button (Harrison ended up being elected...

🥇 BANNER Very Rare (1 in 5000) M1819 Shoulder Belt Plate

Very Rare (1 in 5000) M1819 Shoulder Belt Plate
My friend Lucas and I hunted a site a week or so ago that we hunted last April and he found a great conditioned SC button and a lockplate there previously and I walked away with a handful of mostly Confederate bullets as well as an 1863 Indian head cent some colonial relics and homesite relics scattered in the mix. The history of this site shows that it was close to a small battle atop a hill, there was also a small colonial house site there which was the main reason we wanted to try it. We think it was used as a camp or hospital site before and after the battle. It had signs of both Union...

🥇 BANNER John Wright 1720 Pocket Watch!!!!!

John Wright 1720 Pocket Watch!!!!!
What a great day out on a couple of my colonial permissions. So I found 2 pocket watches. One is I believe coin silver that's engraved with SWL with what looks to be a hallmark above the S. I found a 1781 2 Real about a hundred feet from there engraved with the same lettering. I'm hoping its early 1800's or earlier. Any help identifying it would be very appreciated.

I also found another pocket watch at a totally different site. So that's 2 in one day. Plus an Engraved spoon or fork handle. I found the same initials before but the other one had the last name on it. I was able to find out...

🥇 BANNER Deus elliptical HF finds 400-300 BC gold earring.

Deus elliptical HF finds 400-300 BC gold earring.
Hi guys!
I hope everyone is doing great.
Lately I decided to add to my Deus the X35 13inch coil and the HF elliptical one. The idea was to find more deep targets and also the tiny silver coins.
Yesterday, I had the flight at 15.20. At 4.30 I was already fully awake. First I thought it was silly but then I jumped on the car and headed to a new site where I have been only twice.
On my way up I decided to use the X35. Reactivity 0, disc - 6.4, 11khz, slow motion and I could find some deeper targets. Amongst them three silver coins too.
When I was on the top of the hill it was already 10...

🥇 BANNER Got my fix, capped bust, seated spill

Got my fix, capped bust, seated spill
After almost a month break I hit the woods today. Went to a previously hunted spot with a friend. I put one or two Indians in my pouch, not expecting much since I’ve been to this location with few other good diggers. But after an hour of pulling nails a good signal: first came out a seated 1851 dime

Then a little down the slope, another silver... a merc.
10 feet away another... a 1906 Barber dime.

Things got quiet again and on our way out we decided to do one more circle around the hot spot. Glad we did, I got a faint signal and out came a small white...
