I was at wabasso today and saw a boat just offshore and they were diving. I wanted to swim over there, invite myself on deck just to watch, but thought, i better not. ha.

Hello Scott,

Congratulations!!!!!!!! great job!!!! How many holes did you dig? did you dig again close to were you found the 24? It seems you found a honet spot!!!!!
Keep up the good work!!!!

All the best,

Chagy..........

Good morning Scott...

Great photos of your recent successful hole of 24!! Wow...

Listen, in some of your photos I see the divers poking around some good sized boulders. Have you tried moving them with lift bags to get them out of the way? I know the suction dredge divers up north (gold mining) use Carter boulder bags and some special rock rigs to move boulders out of the way, I have used pillow bags and lift bags quite often for salvage and installation of mooring blocks up to 12,000 lbs.

I could show you how to do it if you think it would help you. Never know what's hiding under those boulders...
Just a thought,

Wayne

Hi Wayne
Looking forward to working with you and learning. We found ten coins in the first hole this morning, one in the second and the third one was dry. We are blowing the fourth hole now and hoping for more. If you look on the webcam you need to look on the wide angle shot down below to see us since we moved further east out of view of the first camera.

ScottyLee's son Brady just brought up the goodie bag with 21 more coins and three musket balls and emptied it so he could go down and get the rest.

I have a question about the musket balls. Can you tell if they were fired or just from their ammo box not used yet. Just curious to picture the whole scenerio, if there was any kind of battle going on also.
thanks,

Suffering succotash, Scott! Sounds like you guys have hit the sweet spot, bro! See you soon, my friend 8)

That's great Scott, I thought we did good with 28 in one weekend, but 24 in one hole raises the bar a bit. I've got a lot of free time on my hands, so any day you find yourself in need of a diver just give me a call and I'll be there. I'm really happy for you, congratulations, and be safe.

Jason

Scott I saw a coin on ebay that looks like yours that was recovered in the 90s from the Jupiter wreck and the starting price is 300.00. Keep up the fantastic finds. I enjoy reading your posts. Norman

Hello Scott

That is a beautiful picture...Great finds!!!!! Thanks for sharing....

All the best,

Chagy.......

Nice finds! It looks like you changed your cleaning technique, the coins are looking good!

Here is a picture of one that I think is kind of unique. I think it is a 1652 8 reale from the Santa Fe de Bogota mint.

Those look Fantastic Scott! How many "twinklers" did you have from the last batch?

I'll be going right by you Monday night or Tuesday morning, PM if you want to get out and have a drink or whatever.

Jason

Scott,

that is in deed a very nice coin!!!! congrats on your find!!!!

Luis.....

Way to go, Scott! Looks like your technique is working better and better ;D Keep sniffing them out!

Scott,

Great coin! Definitely Santa Fe de Bogota 1652. Pedro Ramos was assayer and you can clearly see the PoRM for his mark.

Keep em coming! I am just waiting on the gold!

Congratulations!

Hi Robert
No gold yet, but here is one that I think is a little different. I think it is a 165? Cartagena 4 Reale. What do you guys think?
