Heee heeee heeee !! Just keep piling it on the scale !! One of the rarest natural substances on earth, illegal to posses in many countries, smuggled across borders, fought after by rival hunting gangs, traded on one the most mysterious and ancient markets, coveted by society since before the pharos. Ambergris!! Been the best year in many years in the Bahamas 🇧🇸 I've seen some fortunes made this season !! Last week at 400,000$ 30+pound chunk was found on myaguana Island!! This is another little piece ..... it has gently rolled in the sand and beach, and is of a lower grade....but still 1300$

I read about this and it seems amazing it is worth that much, especially since it stinks but is used in perfumes? It goes to show one man’s glob of whale barf is another man’s treasure. Congrats on finding it and I hope more washes up for you.

That was very interesting and thank you for sharing that. I think I liked it better when I thought it was whale vomit 🤢. It is strange how Australia’s laws about it is different than most countries, and my question of why people don’t gut whales to get it was answered.

The thing I found most interesting was the man that trained his dog to sniff it out. That is a brilliant idea. Which leads to the question - Could that be done for coins and other metals that might not be buried too deep? The ranch where I hunted was huge and I can see cutting a dog loose to narrow down some search area, if that is possible.
