THE Random Chat Thread - AKA "The RCT" - No shirt or shoes required - Open 24 / 7

The government & Central Reserve Bank are chomping at the bit to make CBDC's the only monetary transactions allowed. They hate cash as they have zero control. It's coming.
Cash will always be king ... and always around... dont fool yourself.
Only you can prevent forest fires.... and a cashless society.

IF cash were to ever be replaced.. it would only be replaced with metals anyway.
There always has to some form of "hard currency" in order to be an order.
A cashless society is not a society at all.

I use cards ... NEVER.... or next to never anyway... ONLY when i absolutely have to.
No cards ever at pumps or anywhere. (and all if smart would / should adopt this when possible)

One should protect what they hold dear... AND WHAT THEY CAN ACTUALLY HOLD ONTO.

If someone wants to to take your money from you they will have to do it by force as opposed to a simple keystroke.

Ehhh but maybe you'll be lucky when they try and take it...
and something like a simple power outage will protect your cash from them...
AND from yourself as well. heh

Is the limits here then it's reported to FINTRAC
(Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada)

If the teller doesn't like you, they can even do it for $500.

They're even asking why you're taking cash out.
I have an answer... Because it's my F'in money!!
Garage sale, casino, buying a boat or car.... drugs....

I agree with all that. But when the pandemic was here, for nearly a yr, 90+% of businesses refused cash everywhere. They were told by the ......... that covid would transfer on money. So no card then and you got no food, no fuel, no anything. I tried to pay cash a number of times but was refused.
Banks too are closing here left right and centre. Also ATMS are being systematically removed.

LOL.... ! ! !

As IF Covid does not transfer ON the frigging screen ya touch AFTER everyone else touched it.
heh

Nothing like a nice warm screen incubator that was just touched seconds before you. :)
OH.... and test for yourself....... count the seconds in transaction times between cards and cash.

Love that guy swiping and swiping and the scrolling and scrolling in front of ya.
Sheesh not any better than the ole counting of change....

But in general... cash is quicker.... especially round numbers like $20 on pump 7 please ! ! !

A guy here did that and filmed it.
One answer "i cheated on my girlfriend and she wants jewelry and money"
Says to another teller"im buying coke"
Answers like that. 😆
Heh!!

Oregon's pot industry is cash only as it's illegal in the eyes of the Feds.

I know, but we live in dumb and dumber world and the majority believe anything they are told. Our neighbour questioned my wife during it "why have you got your windows open, covid could get in?"
I still see people driving alone in their car through the bush, 20 to 30km from the nearest town wearing masks.
The brainwashing is well underway.

I always want to say: Oh my Grandson is in jail, and I need to buy $5000 in something called Bitcoin?
Funny thing I can't remember having a Grandson.

I just want to thank EVERYONE that made this possible! I worked extremely hard to achieve this coveted award, but I could not have done it without my close relatives, at least four of my five children, my beautiful two ex-wives, Pastor Jimmy, and how could I forget Jesus, who works at the 7-Eleven in Scarsdale.
