I have 1600ft of shoreline and 1500ft had these docks.
This ended up at the warehouse wharf.
I know a fellow that found a early Victorian Shilling at the other end, just laying on the bottom. This was probably 30yrs ago.

My Swiss hold up through all that... and then some... just need quality shoe man...

VCant go with that "mesh" shoe crap... like those "feather light" Nike Air... or Sketchy Sketchers... which i cannot stand... hurt me feet... dont know why.... make me walk like i have a peg leg.... or a third leg... whichever. :
P
SWISS is the brand name?

Quality... performance.

See the thing is.... buy 2.... wear one pair for awhile.... till they get a bit scuffy.... just because they look good wear them for a bit.

Then use for metal detecting.... will last you 10 years.

The other ones you can go out on the town. :P

The other good thing is ... they look decent enough that if you wanna do something like get a bite to eat whislt out detecting nearby... or the likes.... you not WEARING "booties".

:P

Anyway... high end quality THICK leather.... made super well... will NOT tear them apart...
Sole is thick... and cannot puncture heel.
Toe area is thick enough to give protection AND good bend.

They will not rip.... they cannot be bitten through.

I ordered the scoop yesterday.
Got a text 10:30AM "Arrived"
What you talking about, I thought.
Looked at the tracking.
In the box-Say what!
Mailed @2:30PM yesterday from north of Toronto-goes there-then Ottawa-then Brookville-then it sits in my box 20hrs later.
So I know it will pale in design, weight, shape, style, and many other things.
But it's now mine.
6.25 lbs
2mm thick
Just finished talking to the guy, and his friend makes them in Poland.

Nope I can't wear them.
Have neuropathy and an area between the heal and ankle on the left inside foot.
I jabbed a stick in the skin, developed an ulcer, just healed and the dog opened it up.
6 months of home care nursing, got it healed up, then I have had a few small ones.
On the bad one 4 yrs ago I got about 2 hrs sleep a night for a month or more.
Just like having a match held to the skin
So boots are very important.
I don't care about style.
I'm a country guy, patches on patches.
