Them old trees were/are witnesses to much. even with quiet lapses.

Lives and species....

Acorns? meant visits by acorn eaters.
Birds man could and did kill with sticks in plenty.
Crazy.
So man over does it.

leopold was aware when he dumped his stove ashes it was another tree form.
The book is far better than attempts to tell of it but..

Good luck I've found a few bedrock grinding sites in Central California all that was left was some signs of quartz being processed. I've never managed to find native artifacts being the bedrock grindstone sites. Hope you have much better luck than I

I don't think it's real, that is what happens when the plating wears off.
Maybe put a coin beside the article for a size reference 🤔
Maybe just zap it, oil it, wear it.
