so bama - how is mardi gras in mobile - i've driven through there a couple of times but have not spent time there - looks like a cool spot - is that where you grew up

Shoved snow for a start to the day. (Ater coffee of course).
Freezing rain sleet and snow coming. Some sleet now.
We're on an imaginary line as far as how much freezing rain.

Won't be as bad a 1922on the 21-22nd though. No , I wasn't around then.
Have a picture somewhere of snow at incredible depth and relatives with an old car that might have been North of the iced area where more snow fell instead.

RC - i took down our christmas lights today - how about that

Dang! Kinda cutting the holiday short there ol Tex. ().

Sat in a vehicle at a yard sale of crap I didn't need to check one fine summer day while someone else checked..
Guy across the road had some obstruction in the tall grass he was push mowing.
Stopped and fished around in the grass to pull up a string of lights.
Tossed them on (or at least towards) some shrubs by the house , and went back to mowing!

Mobile is where it all started in the new world. Some of our early residents were nice enough to share it with the folks to the west where they turned it into the raunchy party that everyone knows about. Ours is of course more refined and family oriented.
