This is why people love our islands.....ya sure....a hurricane could wipe you out, but dang to wake up and have coffee while looking out at this is worth it. This is right down in islamorada at cheeca lodge area. My buddy is remodeling a house there right on the beach. He gets up every day at 4 am, and is at the job at 5:30 in the dark.....he has breakfast there and takes these sunrise photos every day .

If you zoom in you can see the markers for the islamorada sand bar, and the long boat is a large migrant wreck right at the end of the channel.
 

Mechanic is taking forever with my boat, and it's been a struggle. As soon as it's done it'll be on like donkey Kong!! 68 mph to that sand bar out there to get the gold rings !! Woooo hoooo !!
 

The ring is old.....it was stained black from being down deep in the dark sand/mud for so long. I've only ever got a few golds that were stained, and some have come from this spot. It polished up great though ll
