The Grandfather's clock
Back in 1977 I was lay'd up with the paw, and had a lot of time on the mind.
So I got to taking off all the porch paint that was on the old clock.
Looked pretty plain actually no real design at all.
I counted 20 coats by the time I got it off.

Then came the job of picking all the pitch the had filled the wood engraving.
This old clock had seen better days the works were so black, greasy from the decades of Kitchen's heat, grease, the wood stove just a few feet away.

I got all cleaned up except for the actual face, stencil on the glass was redone.
I dug it out of the storage yesterday, as it's been there probably now for a decade, and it just needs some love shown to it once again.

Most definitely it needs to be admired and not hidden in storage!
