Yep...sterling requires a purity of .925 silver....I've found silver with different purity levels such as 850, 875 and 975, etc though.

My silver ring that I thought was 18th century was marked 925...a modern....cheap...wire ring....how disappointing. Most times im super excited to see the 925 mark....not this time !!

Something weird is going on with the treasure finds...seems almost every time I find the old treasure coins there is also a modern silver ring drop associated with the spot. I get a modern silver ring each time I find old treasure coins...each time I get excited thinking they are related, and each time im disappointed!! And I can travel 400+miles and it still happens....some one is trying to tell me something....ill interpret this sign as ...Bart keep your eyes open for the real deal treasure ring !! I'd like to find one like Mr draytons emerald treasure ring !!

Yep it's hitting us in Montreal today. A tad chilly but we'll survive.

Sweltering hot with 85% humidity...breeze has died off, and thunderheads are forming across Florida bay to west north west. The bay is slick calm like a sheet of glass !!

Almost every memorial day weekend it rains.....like clock work this week ushers in the summer rainy season !!
