Hey Fat
How did U like the 944 ? 013.JPG

I havnt gone yet fat....but the crew is getting 36 big sharks each day. Thats how many we are allowed per day right now. Bulls, hammerhead, tigers, and black tips right now.

As a traveling pro surfer in the 90s I met many great people....including some incredible island athletes from Tahiti. Well these guys are waterman of the first order, and can free dive to great depths. One of my old tahitiean friends sent me some treasure he dove up. An unpolished all natural monster black pearl. He has carved a talisman on it for me, and it is in its natural condition.....it needs a deep polish to bring out the rainbow colors these pearls are known for !!20210323_182130.jpg

The size of this pearl is astonishing !!
Just an incredible gift from a waterman who is on another level. It is an honor to accept a personalized gift from him, and be considered a peer !!

I love that 944. Several years ago, in LasVegas, we went to the driving school, name escapes me but a couple hours of instruction and than more cash to drive what ever super-car you could afford. At the time Lamborghinis were all I wanted to see and did a few laps at around 100mph. They had a 2seater Indy car, made to give rides, that I took ride in because it was about the cheapest and all that I wanted to spend. They said we went around 150. Last time I didn’t even drive. I did sit in a paddle shift Ferrari that was neat and a Tesla. A friend of mine has a 77? Smokey and bandit trans am that is about as fast as anything I’ve piloted on the ground.
Nowadays I like to race gocarts in a huge warehouse.

Thats a Monster pearl you have there.WHY would they carve it up like that ???

For the gardeners in the group how to make drunken compost.

Interesting one and the Mrs said there must be a more natural way of adding.

So in a minute we came up with:

Ammonia-chicken poop (wet it and the eyes will water)
Cola-fruit scraps (natural sugars)
Beer-fermented sap (oh ya)

I'm looking forward to seeing how the big pile turned out.
Loader bucket load: 40-150 yr old manure/black earth
: Leaves
: Black earth
: wood shavings chicken poop
Repeated many times over over-covered with a black tarp for 6 months.
I didn't mix after the first time as the wild Black Raspberries grew up around the back of the pile so they are now in the freezer.
Also when picking the fruit the 5ft Black Rat Snake slithered out from under the tarp-she must of being using the pile to lay her yearly bunch of eggs.
So I didn't disturb the pile.
I have two other nesting piles for the Black Rat Snakes on the property. More snakes less other critters that want my crops and want to live in my buildings.
It's all a balance...
Just speaking with a permission that called me up on one of his properties-looking for a rail fencer (lost trade) He was commenting on the huge turkey populations eating the crops (corn)
1 acre of corn = 4 tons=$$$$ So the reasoning was: They shot all the Coyotes and most of the Foxes-now there's no natural predators so the balance is off. Yes he was.... :BangHead:

On another note: The Bard Owl landed right across the road from the sunroom in the evening. Flew before I could get the camera out. 2nd visit in the past little while-wonder why?
Hungry/my chickens/knows there's moles/mice around the feeder-what ever the reason it's the first time in 8 yrs it has gotten this close to the house and just sat on the branch.

Only have seen 1 chipmunk this spring-thinking the Blue Heron really knocked them down this past year.

Bart that is such a beautiful gift to receive-simply wow!

Wow! That’s very cool!

Here's my buff. I'm guessing the 194 would have been part of a date such as 194* or 19*4 but your guess is as good as mine. Can anyone make sense of the obverse? I am reading EACLLS MER and I am utterly lost as to it's meaning. It was found in circulation here in NE Ohio.

Sorry it took a while to get a decent pic... I used to have a good set-up with a real bright lamp but I may or may not have dropped it on the ground and broke it a few days ago. :laughing7:

Pretty neat, Noah. Did you find out anything about it? Or did I miss the memo?

That is a tahitiean and far east thing. Good luck talisman. Sometimes the reliefs are filled with gold before there polished. When polished they are much different. Much more color. This one was plucked straight from the animal and was carved. It is unpolished still.

Great piece of culture there.

Enjoyed the video bill.

Jim,

That should do the trick with the compost we just need an activator of some sorts to get it heated up real good.

My older brother had a friend who let him use a piece of his land for gardening on his farm. He said the vegetables grew like they were on steroids....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Reason was he had raised pigs on that piece of land for 25 years running imagine the volume of manure which built up over that time.

Another fella he knew raised dairy cattle and he'd pile up the manure on both sides of his driveway which ran several hundred feet to the main road. He planted rhubarb along there and only charged 50 cents for a big armful he probably made a couple of thousand per year even at that price. It produced so much.

Looks delicious RTR-but my belly is no-no Jim-don't do it. :laughing7:

Is it just the herbs and spices that you do organic or other foods as well?
