I am going to try something different today. I am going to detect in a river. My decision to make: Should I go to the dam or down river from the dam?

My son is already texting me. LOL! I said 8:00 a. m. I am really enjoying this new kid I have! PTL! Soon he will have the money to get his act together and I will be without my new found hunting buddy. Well, actually, he's going to fish.

GMorn world, Sounds like snow is North this morn. 15-23 inches weather gal down graded my storm. When you see the USA weather map, I’m on the west end of big lake N of the N/east corner of Colo.

We catch our bait or have someone catch it for us.....120 whole tunas a day, cut into fist size chunks. We have 15 miles of line and 1000 hooks right now !!

Today might be spanish silver day... :)

At the very least, I'll be trying for some mid to late colonial 1 reales on ebay Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. A 1913 V1 Buffalo nickel is also in my crosshairs.

The one I want is a 1798 8 reale, from the Mexico City mint. It's in very nice condition, considering the age, and has sour silver marks on one side (but not to the point where it ruins the eye appeal of the coin).

Mornin all.

Still melting snow here.
It has cooled down so it's slowing.
Roughly half the ground is exposed here in the oaks.
Out in the open it's really scarce snow.

A few small flocks of Canadian geese been heading North. Down the road as in most springs they are setting up in a marshy pasture. Multiples yesterday starting to pair off.
Pretty soon they'll be claiming muskrat houses to nest on.
Maybe about the time spring peepers start trilling...Depending on the weather , a couple more weeks?

Yes, I looked at some of his tnet posts. And I looked at his website. I’d say he’s pretty dog gone successful at this hobby.
 

Well we went to the dam first. Way too much trash. Fish weren’t biting either. So we went to his other spot down river. I ended up with 3 pennies and some hooks.
