Yep....when marijuana was legal they'd make paper from the hemp which was competing with the Hurst paper version.

They basically lobbied to put them out of business...btw they used to also make cloth/clothes from the hemp as well so it's a multi purpose plant.

Actually... its a little more than that...

There are three main "chief crops" in the U.S used for products...

Cotton

Soy

Douglas Fir.

And Hemp is more versatile than all three.

COMBINED !
