Congrats Anti-Q. But all of what you've been posting? Just reminds me of why I resigned from the human "race". Got tired of people looking up my butt to find a reason not to hire.

Even credit scores!?!?

That's why all the commercials to boost it. The identity thieves don't want it if you can't qualify for a million-dollar loan.
I hear you Whadi, unfortunately in today’s age of being able to find people via technology we all seem to be at risk of identity theft. In a background credit check, an employer will receive typical credit report information such as my name; address; employers; open lines of credit, such as mortgages, credit card and auto loans; amounts I owe on those lines of credit; late payments; and whether I've filed bankruptcy in the past 10 years.

Many employers are running credit checks on potential employees before hiring, and should I have a bad credit score or be blacklisted, I might just be passed over for a candidate with a better credit record. I will also be issued a company credit card for all my expenses, airfare, hotels & meals, fuel for the company truck and for the rent for the storage unit I’m going to need for the demo equipment trailer etc.

On Friday afternoon, I had a meeting via Microsoft Teams with the insurance broker and a couple of the people in Somero’s head office in Florida to discuss the Benefits Package being offered. I basically let them know that the Canadian-based Health Benefits Package they’d put together wasn’t sufficient to cover myself and my family… and so the negotiations continue. I really want to work for this company, but I will be the first Canadian employee they’ve ever hired, so it’s a learning process for them.

My main frustration at this moment is, I would’ve thought they had done their homework when it came to hiring someone in Canada. I know on the surface that our two countries look similar, but when it comes to the taxes, healthcare benefits and the logistics of hiring someone in Canada, we are different that way. :usflag:

Got to love dogs, Max wanted out 12:45am. Licking his lips pacing the floor. Ok buddy let me get dressed -20c windchill though its only -14C. Still from the comforts of a warm bed to the outside, well one has to love the dog.
30 minutes of him trying to figure out what direction he wanted to place his deposit behind what tree it was a "OK Let's Play" Let's just get back inside.
Dog snoring contently, and I'm still awake.
Why do men love their dogs...
I hope Max is feeling better this morning Jim, did he have an upset tummy or was it just a 12:45am bowel call? :icon_scratch:

Thankfully, it's Sunday so maybe Max can have a sleep-in while you go outside in the -18c windchill to take care of the chickens and collect the eggs.

Did you get any of that snow last night, we got 1 - 2" here, I know yesterday in Toronto they were getting steamers off Lake Erie all afternoon. :laughing7:

Wishing all a "Happy Valentines Day" :love9:

Happy Valentines to all the crew.:love9:

The plow truck went down already but I have no idea if it was just burning up time & 1/2. Noisy scraping so there isn't a whole lot out there.
Chatting with friends that live up in the Midland area they had a 50cm with another 20cm last week!

Ah yes the chickens and the eggs twice a day, ah they've been doing good through this cold snap.
Still putting out an average of 15 a day over the past week. One day we had 18 and a broken one so 19 out of 21 hens it was a good laying day.
Will be glad to see these next 7 days go then it's sap weather setting in once again.

I heard somewhere that playing classical music for chickens will increase their egg production... or is that milk in dairy cows? :laughing7:

"A farmer has found that hens lay more eggs when they listen to opera music. Steve Ledsham played classical tracks and was shocked to find that a group of chickens laid almost twice their usual amount of eggs. A farmer has found that hens lay more eggs when they listen to opera music."

Seriously though, how's Max doing, did he just eat some squirrel poo that didn't agree with him? :icon_scratch:

Good morning to the whole crew. Going to be doing some errands with the missus to change the pace this p.m.

I'm curious, does anyone have a special Valentine's meal planned for tonight? :icon_scratch:
All of the eat-in restaurants are still closed here due to the Covid imposed shut-downs, so I'm making a special meal for my wife and daughter tonight.

I'm making hand-breaded, gluten and dairy-free tilapia, wild brown rice with brussel sprouts and rainbow sorbet for dessert.

Hope everyone has a great Valentines Day,
Dave

It's great to hear you're going to be doing the errand with the Mrs this PM to change up things.

You make it sound like a chore....:laughing7:

Thanks for asking Dave
Oh I'm not sure what's up with the fussy guts Dave. The GSD have a gut system that is weird sometimes, one has to be careful in what they eat.
Now come to think about it the Mrs did say he had a tasting of Bambi the other day....Yup sounds like a dog.
Really what's up with those rabbit/deer pellets-Friend used to break out laughing and say "Kibble & Bits" :laughing7:
He got some pumpkin to settle the tummy down last night, so I'm sure he'll be on track again today.

Getting to be that time of the year where the Fox are marking and scenting up-so he's a licking and sniffing to no end. Just being a dog...........

30 years ago now at least I went and did the roses/chocolates thing.....The Mrs said "Oh don't waste your money on this things-if you can't love me for the 364 other days-then don't be doing it for the one over commercialized day"
OK-GOT IT! :headbang:
Been practising it ever since-

Oh a buddy contractor gets a knot up you know what every year at this time-card/roses/chocolates.......(I think he whines about his Mrs the other 364) :laughing7:
Nope if you can't do it on the regular-what's the sense of buying it one day of the year really?

This statement has been brought to you all by a cold hearted Finn..........

Query back at you Dave:
That's some pretty fancy sophisticated looking equipment you'll be dealing with in the near future once you iron out the few wrinkles.
My question is-Does that new fangled looking rig sift dirt?
Just thinking ahead.......:laughing9:
