When we eat he lays down and has his evening sleep, no begging at the table so to speak.
Now that doesn't mean he's not trying in the kitchen and looking for anything that happens to drop-if we do drop something on the floor, and he's in another part of the house it's an easy solution.

He comes a running, nose down, vacuuming up the scent of what dropped-and low and behold it just disappears.
Now anyone that has/had a dog will at one time witness the running in the sleep.
Max can be full on 4 paws just a going-dishwasher door opens-bang up and wanting to do the prewash up-so he's a force to be reckoned with.
When I'm just finishing up the stew-I look over and he's sitting there-looking at me with this: Just maybe you'll let me clean that bowel up for you......nope.
