Now that looks yummy.

We used to celebrate "Fat Tuesday" where the homemade donuts were made-the lard was from the pigs that were harvested that fall before. (I miss fat Tuesday's)

We do the 90/10 ratio in eating.
If we can sustain a healthy eating regime for 90% of the time-the 10% of bad won't make any difference.
Now the other way around isn't going to work out well in the end.

Then again we all seem to have a few bumps in the road, and as long as the landing isn't too hard most get up-brush it off and carry on.

Now "S"ing the frame on a few Fords hurt the pocket book and body. :tongue3:

Lol! You have no idea!
I just fell off the ship again! 3rd time today!
Hang on tight MsBeeps. The longer you hold that pole the slicker it gets.

Bluefish is edible, sort of
Bluefish is delicious if you fix it right. I was raised on fresh bluefish. The trick is to cut out the dark meat when you filet them, and then soak the filets in milk overnight before you cook them.
I love bluefish broiled in butter and garlic.

Morning BL

Soaking meat in milk also rids the game taste, then again I guess that's why so many folks like beef.

Rook,

Thanks for the chart most of the time we use extra virgin olive oil. But in our case we usually either saute at low heat or bake in the oven 350/375f range so we should be ok.

Boatlode,

Another trick with gamey type of fish is to use lots of lemon juice it helps a lot. We sometimes buy frozen sardines and that's what we use to cut the oily taste when cooking them.

Sounds like a plan Whadi.
Thankfully, I picked up a hard-sided case when I bought my Deus, so it can travel with me across the country.

Naaaah! You'll have it with you but, I know! You will be waaaay too busy to use it! You will definitely need a sidekick to explore for you!! :tongue3:

Made in the USA :) pretty good video

Good evening everyone.

Today, I found a Vietnam war era, military issue .45 Cal. pistol round in front of my deck. I have a good hunch that it came from a neighbors sidearm that he carried in Vietnam.

Tomorrow, for the first time in... forever, I'M GOING DETECTING! Got a nice permission to hunt an old house site in the middle of nowhere. It is one of many houses that used to be in Carter County for the mining operations. I don't expect to find much, but at least I'm going.
Morning and good luck on your hunt today Rusty! Let us know what you find.
