I never really had a desire to go after "African Big Game", but I have always wanted to go one day to hunt for Impala, Kudu, Nyala, Gemsbok and Wildebeest.

Mr WD went to Africa on a safari. There was a video, but I can’t find it. The meat was donated to the village. 2-1/2 years later and he still doesn’t have his mounts. Shady deal IMO. But they are supposed to be close to getting them. I will take pics once he gets them. (If)

Congratulations on your artifacts. You sound pretty excited about them.

just stopped for a minute... off.

C u n am.

I hope you find it. I went on one hunt with Sadie yesterday. Only one muscrat and a dead chipmunk did we find. Wow does she love the hunt. Hope Mr. WD had a great time. I know he didn’t hurt any endangered animals.

WD 72 days no cigarettes?
Rusty those are really nice. I have a few patches but never actively traded. Is your www working? I want to see it. I want to know about all the costs associated with. I might need one.

It works, but of course I need to update it. Tomorrow I plan on a big update.

Oh yes, I really like this lot. I especially like the 101st Airborne patch, now that I have the Band of Brothers DVD set.

I have another lot coming in the mail soo containg parts from a crashed Bf-110 plane (I know the names of the crew, the date and site of the crash and why), a very rare piece of an 1st. SS. LAH dogtag, and a trench art mess tin lid from the SS Nordland division, that was used for target practice.

I’m counting down to retirement. Reality is setting in though. I don’t think this young lady that I am training is going to be ready for the responsibility by then. May have to go in once or twice a week for a while. But man, I don’t want to! Family business so I can’t leave them hanging.

Impala. A decent specimen. That's all the game I wanted from Africa.... But Africa was the moon as far as budget.
Then , one day I had a pile of $$.
Debated about a motorbike and African hunt and the remainder in gold.
Bought a house instead...
Sometimes I wonder if Africa shouldn't have been the deal instead when the time was right. But hey ,I gotta roof over me.

Good job RR. Your hard work looks to have paid off.:icon_thumright:

WD,

First off congratulations on giving up the cigarettes. 2nd insofar as your replacement goes one of the best pieces of advice I received from one of my bosses was as follows.

His boss who coached him told him to go by 2 rules. 1:- Don't steal from the company. 2:-Make decisions that you'd make if you owned the company.

Easy peasy.

If caught, its a $50,000 fine to harm a manatee plus jail time by judges discretion.
Thank you for this information ECS. I have no doubt there's more than one individual involved in this case. Hopefully, with all the publicity, this low-life will be held responsible for what he did. I know, how about I hold them down and scratch the word DEFENCELESS ANIMAL ABUSER across their chest! I apologize for being so vocal about this on a detecting forum, but this type of gutless, senseless act really makes me angry. :BangHead:

Kudos to you for your loyalty to the business and to the family you work for WD. :hello2:
I’ve always said, companies have a knack of fording-on even when a key employee quits, gets laid-off or in your case retires.

Great advice Bill… these are just a few of the rules I work and live by as well.
