Well I degreased the gear box of the fireplace motor and it purred. Well it purred until I reassembled the unit. Then it was a little noisy, but greatly improved, them it stopped making a noise-then on again.
Then the flame lighting stopped- for no good reason.
So I took the 6 screws out for that section to get at the 3 - 35 watt bulbs-pulled one and it's ok.
Now the little two pronged sucker won't go back in the holes.
The Mrs said "Oh forget about it" I said I just needed a break.
So I set my new camera where I can operate it remotely through the smartphone-kind of a cool option.
So what’s next Jim, replace the whole unit now? :icon_scratch:

Ugh! Covid is striking too close for comfort. About 3 weeks ago, one of our employees and his wife got sick over the weekend and was positive. So, he stayed away from the shop. Last week another employee was sent home and told to get test because his wife tested positive. He was negative, but stayed away. Well, we had a crew of 4 on an install. One of them came down with it. He called yesterday and informed the MR that he was positive. So, the other 3 should stay home and isolate, right? One of the 3 is my brother-in-law, and he is in the office today. I told Mr. I wasn't coming in, then, and I was calling my helper and telling her to stay home also. She has underlying health issues. I can't believe that dumbarse came in! Unbelievable! I will probably go in tonight to get stuff done. Then, screw it. I am staying away!

This is so scary WD, it stuck close to home for us when my wife’s brother and common-law wife got sick with Covid. :sadsmiley:
All we can hope for now, is that the new vaccines can slow down this terrible plague.

Morning Dave
Regarding the unit....
Not sure yet, except I got notice that the corner had to be put back together again and less-workshop looking.....:laughing7:

Good morning my digital friends.

Had a break in last night...this morning I mean. About 345 am loud noises from the living room window woke me up. It sounded like someone coming in through the window and hung in the vertical blinds. I quickly got my revolver and crept around the corner....the wife and kid were hiding in the corner of the bedroom at this point. I pulled the hammer back and was prepared to blow an intruder back out the window. I quickly turned the lights on and all I saw was 2 cats legs sticking out of the vertical blinds. She finally broke free and popped out with a large rat that had got in thru a screen. Speedy is our old trusty black cat. She's about 13 or 14 but can still do work !! Im proud of the old girl and she's getting a soft food reward now !! Good job speedy...wooo hooo she's a rat catcher. He broke in the wrong house !!

What scares me is passing it on to my dad, or anyone else for that matter, and them dying that horrible death alone in the hospital. (Big sigh) I am just frustrated. You all know how it is. You lose a parent, and then, you want to be there to support the other. And I can't. 'Tis life.

Geesh! Rat fink %@$#@&)! I am glad that's all it was and what a relief Speedy was on guard duty.
