Night.

Steady as she goes.

Watched deer again this afternoon.
Had a couple nice opportunities to bring one home. For which I'm grateful.

Far left field of view is a small window where they leave the swamp. Or turn back into it. Or go farther East..

Far right field of view is the cut going 120 yards through more tag alder jungle. The tall grass beyond it is where the buck was the other night.
Two deer got through that grass without my knowing what sex they were. Using full sized binoculars... But that's alright.

Far left window after I took pictures of both "windows" (and who turned on my flash? L.o.l.) I didn't have the canera back in my pocket when a deer was in the far left window. Which means while I looked her over , deer were in far right window.

Almost wears me out trying to watch and keep up.. But it's a good wear. (!)

Late in the evening four were up front and close. That is success for me.

Im not sure whats happening....but were having an event !! Gonna be some flooding and coastal erosion tonight.....ill be up at 4:30 AM so I can make the extra low king tide. This is gonna spool up into a noreaster !! Charging the nox now......im looking for the spanish milled dollars or cobbs, mother nature is ready to give it up....WOOOO HOOOO !!

The far left view "window" into the edge of the swamp.
The deer I spotted after taking the picture was there when I took it. (I didn't see her till after. So , she saw the flash from about eighty yards. L.o.l.)
She's just to the to the right of center. About the third time I click on it , I can see her better.
I'll refrain from posting other pics on this thread.

Good morning Tnet

Morning AARC and Dave

Morning Rook.
How are you feeling these days, did you end up getting over your flu bug?

Morning ARC. 8-)

Went for a hunt this afternoon. Walking from the field I detected a ol' skunk odour.
Yup more plants, went over to the other cellar hole, yup they're being harvested.
So I went for a walk through the bush to another site, got back just one broken plant left, heard a ATV. So the season is done for another year.
Got a high pitched iron signal dug out a fish hook, a harpoon looking end, a pistol shot, colonel butter knife, cuff button/stud, some pottery shards.
Almost smelled like ash, so it's possible it's the ash pit, so one day in the spring I might start 20ft down the steep slope and dig my way up.

Sounds like the site definitely needs more investigating Jim… I sure hope your detecting season isn’t over!

Jim,
Glad you managed to get out....I did a short 2 hour outing at a pounded sports field a bit of pocket change and an earring that turned out to be costume jewelry.

Still good to swing the coil. 5 days of rain forecasted going forward.

Hey, at least you got out as well Bill. The weather here this week isn’t going to be much better. :icon_scratch:

I hope you found the Spanish milled dollars and cobbs you’re looking for this morning Bart.
One of us here is definitely overdue for a good find… of course, I hope it’s me! :laughing7:

Glad to hear this Rook, things are getting pretty scary again here in Southern Ontario.
The infection numbers in the US are a long way from being on the decline... this really concerns me. :icon_scratch:

The only time a truly feel safe, is when I'm in the middle of a farm field enjoying the fall colours like I was yesterday.

Dave,

The numbers here are way up there also in Quebec. The 2nd wave coincided with the return to school I saw a good example of that detecting at a high school sports field yesterday.

6 or 7 teenage girls clustered together walking through the sports field and around the side of the school building odds are to smoke some funny tobacco out of sight. 15 or 20 minutes later on the way back home the same group were in a bus shelter no masks, etc....

I hear you Bill, we've had a number of outbreaks at the primary and high schools in this province as well. :icon_scratch:
My daughter blames it on all of the people aged 17 - 25, she calls them all "very irresponsible".

Even my 23-year-old neighbor had a BBQ party in his backyard on Saturday night, there were probably 10 - 15 people there... it's a very irresponsible thing to do this time. :sadsmiley:

It's simple really... wear a mask, sanitize and don't socialize. :BangHead:
