Morning Bill.

I was going to cook our turkey yesterday, but we decided to do our Thanksgiving dinner tonight in stead of on Sunday.
How about you... are you still 'stuffed'? :laughing7:

There's only three of us this year, so I have a 5lb bone-in turkey breast.
I'm going to make some home-made gravy, mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad.

:hello::coffee2::headbang:
Good morning everybody !!

Morning Rook.

Do you get the day off today due to it being 'Columbus Day' or is it just a bank holiday in the US?

Dave,

Well likewise since it was only going to be my wife, myself and my mother-in-law we had a roasted leg of lamb. With the covid restrictions my wife had lunch at her mom's house and I ate my supper from the leftovers.

Pretty tasty!

Morning Jim, not today I have a few chores to do around the house.

I also need to do some research on Generac in preparation for my interview tomorrow.

How about you, are you heading back to the potato field before the rains come in this afternoon?

There's quite a lot of rain in the forecast for your area over the next 7 days.

It's a hard time of the year to plan any projects that involve the weather.
As a follower of weather you probably know the POP% given is for the complete area/zone.
It was just this past week 10% given for my forecast-Guess who got the 10%-:laughing7:

I went back to the corn patch yesterday for a couple of hours-bits & bobs-one small brass buckle. The discing of the site was no friend for detecting-so I'll return if they take the rest of the corn before winter for a quick hunt then in the spring when they run the cultivator over the site.
I haven't been to the potato site for month so now-I will go over before the season is done-have to check on the hunting status of the bush sites.

The detecting season is definitely coming to a close soon Jim, hopefully the cold and snow holds off until at least the end of November here.
Best of luck if you're able to get out today.

Definitely better to be safe now then sorry later with the second wave of Covid lingering here in both our provinces Bill.
In my opinion, there's nothing better than a 'leftover' hot turkey sandwich smothered in gravy.

I was still detecting the end of Dec/2014 up till Jan 7/2015, one never really knows till it's history.

Have to move a fully loaded freezer over to the other side of the garage, and empty to sections of any building materials.(so no playtime)
The concrete company will core cut the floors for the preparation of installing floor drains this week.
Why do folks build something and leave out the most important thing?-hint winter/snow/ice/melt=water=mess-solution put a bloody drain in-then the place stays dry.

I remember the hot turkey sandwich was the staple of every diner in the land it seemed. Now that was 30-40 yrs ago-I have no idea what is on a menu now a days. :dontknow:

It's a federal holiday Dave but some state and local governments may not observe.
