:hello: goin fishin...see ya later.

Sounds like United is either low-balling or they're not holding market share and haven't the budget for recruitment.
The generator position sounds more like what you're qualified for Dave, best of luck going forward.

My wife said the exact same thing when I got home Jim, "that United was probably 'low-balling' the salary for new-hires due to the COVID situation."
She felt that United was using the lack of jobs situation to their advantage and only hire people who are desperate to find a job and will take less pay.

I'm excited about the Generac opportunity, sounds like it's a perfect fit for me.

Good luck on your fishing trip today Bart! :fish:

Well I got a lead on a homestead site a while back "When the corn is off I'll show you" Well I did a drive-by yesterday and stopped to see the farmer.
Yup we took the corn off and if the weather holds I'll disk it up on Saturday-it's got manure on it.

My reply "Well a little sh** never bothered me"

We just did it this morning. Have a drive by and have a look-it's on the rise and you'll see bits of brick and glass after I disc. "Park on the road"

Yup-Full agreement on viewing the site, liquid manure, large tractors with 8 wheels, large manure tanker trailers-Nope I'm not going there until it's disked.:laughing7:

Between the road and the rise the slurry was like a muddy pond.:tongue3:

My contractors were telling me about one of my permissions and the father had passed a year or more ago.
Has an old large sprawling pig barn converted years ago into a large woodworking shop and storage.
So I'm to give a call to the daughter, and go view the equipment, and stock piles of Butternut, Oak, Maple, Pine lumber that is warehoused in the building.
What sparked my interest is the large 20-22" planer and large jointer.

Looks like another work project on the horizon-I'm nuts-need help.
But the permission has been so giving in homestead finds-(a couple dozen coppers-silvers-buttons-military just at one location)-I just can't say no-really.:headbang:

Morning Dave, bill and bart

Have a good day out Bart.:icon_thumright:

Jim,
That planner + joiner and stock pile of lumber is probably worth a good piece of change. If you can get the lot for a decent price go for it!

It sounds like you've got a couple of great opportunities on both accounts here Jim.

Best of luck to you on the new permission and on acquiring the extra stock piles of Butternut, Oak, Maple & Pine lumber.

Concrete contractor just stopped by, busy, busy.
Maybe start on this day, but if it rains, not on that day, but I don't think it's Saturday as it's a long weekend. So Tuesday, but I might come if it rains on Saturday.
So prepare for what day - you say?:icon_scratch:
