Good morning ARC.

There's no sign of pepperj yet... I never heard from him this weekend either.
We usually text each other at least a couple of times, but I never heard from him.

I also sent him pics on Friday of the 'ring' that I'm restoring, but didn't receive an answer. :dontknow:

hopfully hes ok.....he plays and works hard !! Maybe a break from t-net was in order.......i know that I sometimes need a break from t-net. Let's hope he'll be back soon.

Morning Bart.

I noticed PJ was absent lately... I hope everything is OK.

ARC....when you have a chance.....take a look at the details of "el sueco de arizona" you'll see they all agree that there are 2 main ballast mounds......well yesterday we found a major and undiscovered 3rd ballast pile. Its been hidden under a large candy coral and sea grass bed. This latest tropical weather has exposed this mound somewhat. Its 3 feet high and has thousands of stones ranging in size from basketballs to pebbles. Now I probably have a better idea of its final track and death than anyone before me. Its an incredible discovery for me and I now believe I can track its path even further into florida Bay. Its a pretty incredible discovery.....hopefully it will lead to a coin or 2 or maybe even something better.....im looking for 24000 pessos in silver !!

Good morning guys.
I'll try giving him a call later this morning.

As you mentioned, Jim sometime likes to take a break from Tnet, his patience for ill mannered Tnet members is pretty short. :laughing7:
I also know he's busy at home as well, so maybe he's just taking care of business there.

Boy....if I could only get back in havana.....the entire details of the 1733 salvage operations have to be there in greater detail than anything that was officially sent back to Spain. I have read that the fished up silver was unboxed and washed and then repacked and sent to havana. This had to be a major shore side operation. Trying to envision how the keys lay before any filling and building is key. I think my 24000 pesos plus even more smuggled metals were brought ashore.....but which island and where ?? Those archives in Cuba would have every detail I need....i do have my hunches.....now with a third ballast pile the picture becomes even clearer for me !! Remember great men went before me.....mel fisher, marty meylach, art mckee, Bob Weller, etc etc. None of them saw that third mound. I now enter uncharted waters so to speak. Lacking the cuban archives, I will go with my instincts. It has been by far my best year of discovery. And on multiple treasure sites. Woooo hoooo. Im just heating up and summer is almost over....time to hit overdrive !!

Well! So much for me! :(
Pep takes a needed break for a day or two and they send out all the longboats!! But...I disappear for all of....uh um uh...a day and a half and nothing, nada, zip!! Not even an electronic appeal! :dontknow: :(

Please come back PEP! So's they can even notice me! :tongue3: ;) :angel12:

(Add my prayers, for the safe return of our Pep.)

wif,
Good morning here's hoping you don't feel to much like Rodney Dangerfield....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

Puzzle puzzle puzzle,.....

Ballast type is unique enough to recognize.
Currents at time of wreck would matter.
Storms to follow would too.

Shallow wreck. Nervous crew, having been baptized in saltwater already would have wanted high ground and above tide. Yet had to get load salvaged reloaded. Perhaps affected by currents again.

Where would a recovery ship anchor? And what points would fit for ferrying salvaged cargo?

Did salvage crews burn wood and leave charcoal stains? Though easily enough erased by storms if enough material was scoured away.
Water over running Northward through cuts and then returning from surges combined with current... And difficulty of recognizing broken porcelain to sniff out a current induced debris field.... Makes it a tough site.

The bay N.E. of estimated hull settling begs my wanting to peek around. (Which won't happen.)
A surge/repeated surges could have pushed stuff out of current influence through there , but how far?
From topo , it could have gone a looong ways being driven by hydraulics. Not much resistance of/by height. But troughs to flow through too.
