guys I'm in the clear now....it has passed us and we have blue skys and great weather now. She passed by us yesterday and we were already in the clear. Our worst weather was Monday. Now those poor souls in Louisiana are the ones to pray for. Im preparing for diving this weekend. Hopefully by sat the water will have calmed and cleared and I can go look at some underwater spots and see whats changed. I saw heavy surf breaking across my gold spot....alot of sand will have shifted at this spot. Not sure if that will be good or bad until I look !!

im finally wrapping up the ford family project. Spent some time up there wiping finish on the last ceiling panels for this project.....it was a bear !! 20200822_172141.webp spent alot of nights till midnight getting these right. Its more than most think to cut a tree down and get it to this point. Now a tree from my neighborhood has been made into a one of a kind custom ceiling in a mega million dollar home. If it wasn't so private and custom we might have had a big feature in some popular home decor magazines. But everything about this has been top secret including the finishing process.....i was not allowed to document the materials used even though its 100% my technique. The contractor wants to keep this work all to himself. I told him I'm also loyal to our family contracting business and that I would be sharing the technique with them !!

I think it’s passed you guys. We may get a little heavy rain.

Be careful rook....you know how it goes....some heavy rain ends up being some biblical deluge and there's no power for weeks !! I'm praying for a best case scenario for ya rook !!

I suggest everyone tank up their vehicles whether you're in the storm's path or not. Just read an article that 84% of the refineries on the Gulf Coast have shut down as a preparation for the storm.

Odds are good there'll be shortages at some point.

Mornin all!
Whew, it rocked for about three hours in the middle of the night. (Early mornin time for most of you . l.o.l..)
We needed every drop though , it's been dry .

Anti:
You got the cookie regarding the interview.
It'll be like fallin off a log when you encounter the right decent company.

Don't let them cut your leg off yet...:laughing7:
On mine they eventually just cut a couple slits and scraped the split in the meniscus through them to clean it. Cut a couple torn edges and sent me home.
Didn't take long to be using it again.

R.C.T. crew in front of storm making landfall , batten down. Stay dry/above water. Bend with the wind , vs fighting it.
Ma nature has a way of keeping us humble sometimes...

Morning Bill.. TC... GB... RC.

Morning Beeps.

Here's an interesting article about a nautical gadget from bygone days.

I could imagine a rangefinder of it.
A common mans height would be enough to judge distance perhaps , to aim a trebuchet. Or launch a volley of arrows to make them rain onto a stationary position at a distance.
Adjusting height/trajectory from what is being launched in relation the the estimated range would be the secondary question.
Without a good study of the object (do rings around holes vary for yardage by the hundreds? Or rather/better by Roman system of units) It's just fun speculation.

Here's a way to use up some of those garden ripe tomatoes.
