Oooopsies...

It rained and stormed a lot in the night....

It was a dark and stormy night.

For a couple three hours, multiple bands of storms passed through.

:icon_scratch:

Rock a bye shippy in the rough seas, head for safe harbor at 90 degrees.

Good afternoon crew mates.
Stay safe all out there in storms path.

GB hope your knee is a quick easy fix.

There is a slight lull in the crying, wailing, & screeching here... no, not me screeching yet...soon, very soon!

I suggest everyone tank up their vehicles whether you're in the storm's path or not.
Just read an article that 84% of the refineries on the Gulf Coast have shut down as a preparation for the storm.
Odds are good there'll be shortages at some point.
Odds are good that the price of petrol will rise as well as food and other commodities.

guys I'm in the clear now....it has passed us and we have blue skys and great weather now. She passed by us yesterday and we were already in the clear. Our worst weather was Monday. Now those poor souls in Louisiana are the ones to pray for. Im preparing for diving this weekend. Hopefully by sat the water will have calmed and cleared and I can go look at some underwater spots and see whats changed. I saw heavy surf breaking across my gold spot....alot of sand will have shifted at this spot. Not sure if that will be good or bad until I look !!
Best of luck to you on Saturday Bart, if you're able to get back to your gold spot. :hello2:

You got the cookie regarding the interview.
It'll be like fallin off a log when you encounter the right decent company.

Thank you very much for your encouragement WP.
When I was younger I used to get so intimidated by job interviews, but now in hindsight I realized they just want to learn about me.

What's a salesman's favourite topic of conversation... why themselves of course! :laughing7:

This one is for our buddy Tom. German potato pancakes.

Afternoon WD.... Msbeepbeep.....ECS

Folks teaching my daughter the function of a pistol is a chore. She’s leaving the village this weekend and wants some defense just in case. :laughing7: Now I feel a lot little better. I just hope I get my weapon back.:laughing7:
Side note: she keeps a 12 gauge double barrel at her home but needs a pistol on this trip.

My daughter has been a source of my being relived of a few arms , including blackpowder rifles and a pistol....And related accouterments. She's welcome to them though.

One word...

Catastrophic.

Bart... It very well could have been us.

Sends chills when thinking what the people there are about to experience.

People who don't know about hurricanes... really don't know what I say about the chills.

Ya.
Going to be worse than a banshee keening or a wraith saying hello while both riding a tidal wave.

I'm not insulting folks in the path , but there's no way I could hunker on the ground within a hundred miles of the coast tonight by choice...
Unless there's some ground I don't know about out of reach and below at the same time. And my leg was broke too.

The exact word used when describing the type of tidal surge expected...

"Un-survivable".

The surge is expected to go inland 30 miles.

I say in some areas it will be much more.

Yeah AARC
THIS will be trouble for the coast. I have kin about in and around Shreveport. No shelter. They’re use to this. Wish them luck. I offered .
