Is that prickly looking thing called a Barrel Cactus?
Yes it is. Those 4 inch long needles look dangerous, but this is the one to stay well away from!
Cholla, or "jumping cactus" has extremely sharp needles with barbs like a porcupine, they go in easy but don't come out.

@pepperj
So im watching the news from Canada and saw some people at a meeting first greet each other in French then speak English. The show reporter or whatever indicated it was common to do so. Do you speak French?

FARK NO!
I'm a westerner, and this was how we referred to everyone one else east of us.
East of the Rockies there was the Farking Prarie 🐔,
Then the Farking Ontarians, then came the Farking 🐸, the Newfies were ok because they're solid folks.
Then I became a Farking Ontarian 40 yrs ago.
So we had to start rephrase again.
Took French in grade 8 & 9
French teacher called me over to his office.
Jim I'll give you a passing grade ( I was failing miserably) if you promise me that you will not take grade 10 French.
The art of a deal. 🤣
