I should add...

This storm... has a long trek... and some adverse conditions soon... so it can or could very well just "peter out"...

And...

It could "peter out"... THEN reform later.... it could be nothing more than a rainmaker... it could go to Mexico... it could... on and on.... and on.

At this point.... WAYYYY toooo early to tell anything other than... "keep an eye on it".

I thought they were blue as is "Blueberry"

Now your telling me they're purple?

Actually I find it relaxing picking them, the grass was trimmed short, no bugs, except for the occasional earwig crawling out of a big clump.
Didn't leave the row even, we started 1/2 way down as the front half the owner leaves for older, or handicap folks to pick.
We didn't even get to the end of the row either, if a person was to go to the row they'd say: Oh my look at all the berries."
I would guess a person could of picked another 150lbs what we left as we were just nibbling the bigger berries off the clumps.

The Mrs is feeling it this morning though-some grumblings going on-"Need a down day"

The processing starts now, vacuum seal the berries and throw them into the freezer.

We bought also 30lbs of Haskaps they picked for us and had ready for pick up

We scored 3 dozen eggs as well. Now we're kind interested in how these eggs are going to be different from the other farm friends eggs.
Same organic feed, free range, but these chickens get black rasberries/blue berries every day.
They will be finishing off the pigs, meat chicken on blue berries as well, they claimed the turkey was awesome 2 yrs ago. So I ordered up 2 for the end of this year if they're available.

Actually your closer to Avonmore than I am by 20 clicks or so.
I was sorry I didn't invite you for a meet up-then again it might of been to far for a berry picking for you.

I know they're called 'Blueberries' Jim, but when you get the juice on your fingers it's purple.

They should really be called 'Purpleberries'... think I'll register that as a Trademark! :laughing7:

Fingers were clean yesterday-should see them after a blackberry picking. :laughing7:

Actually the pictrographs I saw along the lake where we fished while growing up was proof of how well berry juices stained.
