RC....I did the same thing !! My pinched nerve had me standing and reading from 4 AM to 6 AM. I read a book that was written by the florida treasure hunters worst enemy...Carl j clausen...hes gone now but he was well hated by underwater salvagers here in FL. That being said....he had a unique point of view and was by all means a top notch expert on not only the 1715 fleet but many other colonial spanish shipwrecks here in florida.....it would be a huge mistake as a treasure hunter to ignore his work because he was an archie. Already I have compressed his work in my head to the point of 2-3 pieces of information about locales and extent and number of salvage camps, pirate/english camps, and ais indian camps in relation to the wrecks !! He was a smart guy and he got in the water with the early salvagers...he was the first state archie/agent !! Plenty of good info on the beach camps here !!
