Rental story, as promised.
We used to vacation on Lake Cherokee.

FYI this was also worldtalker's old stomping ground at one time. We figured out the commonality on Tnet.
Anyway...
This one trailer we stayed at was barely furnished. Really just a place for fisherman to crash. So, I go to the local mall (Dollar General) and by cheap items, mostly for cooking. Well, I had plenty of that stuff back home, so I left it. We made this the only place we would stay and every time I went I added furnishings and decor and it felt like a second home. I even took extra stuff from home and left it there.(towels & wash clothes, etc.) Yep, I was nesting. We didn't do any repairs (I don't recall it needing any) but I did have to take care of an ant invasion one year. We weren't exactly compensated for any of it, but the owner did make sure to save the first week of July for us and even a Thanksgiving weekend.
This, Bart, is where we Striper fished. (That's Striper not stripper guys ) We haven't had any Striper for years. That's a good eating fish! You got to cut off the red meat first, though.
