Pirate Chest: When to give up

Limitool-I am not going to argue with or disagree with anything you said in your long and well thought out post. ECS and I have had an on-going feud for 3 years. We pick at each other and have had somewhat cordial PM's between us. BCH and I would probably get along much better in person than we appear to here. vor and I have had many PM's and emails between us. Much of what you see on the Treasurenet posts is more for entertainment than anything serious. I purposely put things on here to mess with people and nobody should get too upset about it.

I get very little useful information from these posts but have met many TNET members in person because of my threads. I have been shown devices and techniques that I would have otherwise never seen. I know I come across as very abrasive and appear to rub a lot of people the wrong way. I am not that way in person and you can ask just about anybody that has met me that I am not a bad guy. It is easy for life to get boring if you let it.

It may appear that I have a big ego but that is because I do. I grew up a middle brother and I may definitely have some issues I need to deal with but at 59 I doubt I will change.

The problem I have with the whole treasure thing is that I don't want to have to deal with the aftermath of finding a large cache. Kind of like thinking you hold the winning lottery ticket but know that it could screw up your life. To be honest I wish I could have a qualified group come in and I will show them where I think the treasures are, one at a time. I want the video rights.

I post pictures and links that may appear to have nothing to do with treasure. I am just trying to show that I am a doer and am crazy enough that I might just be the guy that can bring everything together and figure out how to find and dig up some really awesome treasures. They are out there waiting to be found. It takes luck, persistence, desire and the willingness to dig even after many empty holes.

Limitool-Thanks again for showing that you care.

:laughing7: LOL!
That's the location of my septic tank, ARRC.
He has already experienced that "treasure" dig with Ovid in 1987.
LOL! :laughing7:

I dug thru the same one again in 1992. Dove in it in fact. Got some serious infections in my eyes, nose, hands and brain. Have not been the same since.

It was not a septic line. It was a cistern line. There is a difference.

FTR it was a baby casket with a dog in it. Huge mistake on my part that came back to haunt me big-time. Thanks for reminding me.

You know... I am just glad there are guys out there digging holes and finding "whatever"...

Sheesh I am the type that even for a second.... I am interested in "IT".... whatever "IT" may be or is...

If "IT" came outta the ground... I am curious/interested...

It could be a petrified seagull turd... I still wanna look at it...

An old brick... is still cool to me for at least 1- 10 seconds...

Sometimes I will look at something that is nothing and think it is something again for another few seconds... then realize that it is still nothing...
and repeat this like a madness...(heh)

I have always had this "curiosity" of what comes out of the ground... or water for that matter...

As long as I can remember...

Born this way.

I think that most here could say the same thing. :)

I'm having a hard time imagining that being valve responsible for keeping water in a tank. Is that what it was used for, or was it a temporary clean water shutoff for doing maintenance? Seems more reasonable since it would not stop the water but reduce to a trickle.

I can relate to what you are saying. I have been "treasure hunting" for as long as I can remember going back to a boy of 5 years old. I like looking for and finding almost anything interesting. Yard sales, flea markets, Craigslist, old barns and houses, etc. Once I got involved with the German submarine treasure things got complicated and I have never really been able to figure out what to do. I want to find treasure for the thrill and adventure, not for the money. I would like to make a bunch of money off of the finding of the treasure by promoting the events. No one has to agree with my methods, to each his own. Here is a pic of what I believe is the markers for the pots of gold buried in North Carolina near the railroad tracks not far from Burlington.

100_2425.JPGThese 1800's era railcar links were buried side by side standing on end about 1 foot below the surface. I have reason to believe at least one of the pots is buried 25 paces away. I was recently in North Carolina standing over this spot with a shovel and for reasons of my own did not dig. Finding the pots at this time would cause nothing but grief for myself and others involved. It is a shame.

It did not keep water in a tank. I think it directed water to a tank/s. You would have had to see how everything was placed in the ground to understand how this "valve/gate" operated. There was little to no pressure involved as it was all gravity operated. vor seems to want to insist that it is part of a septic system but it is not. I have helped build/rebuild nearly 10 different septic systems so I do know a little about it.

136.JPG157.JPG The valve/gate was part of this structure. This was found in an open field near a church. It was about 20 feet or so from where I found out an old well was located. You don't put your well near any kind of septic system. I was put on this exact spot (within 20 feet) by an out-of-state remote viewer that said there was a stash of gold. silver and diamonds buried. I think they are at the bottom of an abandoned, filled in cistern (fresh water holding structure). I still have a written contract to go back and dig this site if I choose to. I was just there a few weeks ago with a gentleman that had a LRL type device. His device pointed at the spot. The day of the dig did not go as planned which is normal. We were behind schedule, my two friends had places to go, and at the point where I had my arm up inside the pipe, my phone rang and I was told my Miccosukee Indian pal had just died in a car crash. I also had a nasty spider bite on my leg. Excuses, excuses, whatever. 140.JPG

We used a Nokta Golden King detector at the church site. This is what it showed.066.JPG

Wish you were closer ARRC to get a first hand look at this cave of mine and the items within it. Maybe do some sifting up near the entrance. My avatar shows one mud mound with a symbol on it (left side) and 3 "letters" or symbols on the right side. I need to get back at this project again.

Did you find the gold? Its only about 20" deep and I recall that the septic line was about that deep, wasn't it? Surely that Nokta wouldn't be wrong.

Vor, according to your last 2 posts, it seems you have a lot of poop on your mind. Did you happen to fall in to some once upon a time?:confused:

And I think that it may have been used as a clean out cover for the old septic system which was disconnected when the city brought their sewer system to the area. :dontknow:

V
You obviously don't know much about septic systems or clean out covers.

I dug one time and as I have clearly stated on this thread and on another in the past, I was not having a good day and stopped the dig. I have not dug there again and if there is any gold it is still in the ground. The Nokta could be wrong, I could be wrong, my remote guy could be wrong, vor could be wrong.
