No correct answers yet.

Below is a picture of what is described as an "Antique 1876 Hog Catcher." Which I have never heard of before, but thought was an interesting, though incorrect, guess.

Okay, so after your latest picture I now know I was way out in left field, on what I thought it was. Can I ask... does this "item" perform a specific function? Or in other words it's a "whole" item and not just a piece of a larger item is it? This thing is killing me. :icon_scratch:

Sorry, I had to leave the house for a couple of hours and just got back. Someone got a "partial" answer correct! But before I disclose who that member was, please allow me to remind everyone that partial answers are not considered a win. Plus, I think it only fair to everyone that I do not mention which part of the answer is correct. I'm pretty sure someone will figure it out without my having to clarify it. Thanks again,

SBB

The "partially" correct answer was one of several submitted earlier today by Mojjax.

My description of the item is based on my dad (89 years old and in the next room) who got the item from it's original owner about twenty years ago. The original owner has since passed away, but he definitely called it a .... (I will explain in more detail later).

Keep trying. You are extremely close!
